[Android Question] taking backup before factory reset
- Sort By
If I buy a new mobile, How can transfer data , apps, everything from old mobile to new mobile ?
is there any smart way in this Android world ?
First copy/backup all file folders in Laptop. Then format mobile. After reset, download those apps one by one. Do not open the apps after download. Switch off the Internet. Now copy back folders one by one from laptop to mobile. As folder name would be same so it will copy old files as well. After copying back all folders, remove data cable. Restart mobile, switch on Internet. Open apps one by one.
Note – This is called Mobile Totka, may not work for all apps. It always work fine with Whatsapp.
Yes you can backup apps through es file explorer, just go to app and click on app and select backup
For non-root app data backup, This app should work (uses ADB)

Titanium backup for root .. .. No idea for backing up user data for non rooted phones
You cannot backup app data without root
You can take backup of apps (apk)
And there’s no need to take the sd card out, do a factory reset n then wipe/format the card from system settings
