So, someone I know wants to change her surname/lastname in the LIC policy. Can that be done easily and what are the steps?
Reason of name change : Astrology. LoL !!
If she change her name on the Aadhar first with the help of affidavit and later submit the new documents to the LIC office, will that do? Or tell them just to sync the new details from already submitted aadhar.

Here is an article, but it says. It can be only done through the home branch.
That’s sad. In that case, can not we first change the home branch/transfer-policy and later do all these?

Btw the link you shared says how to change name legally in India. I will make her do that, no issue with that.
I also wanted to know, how smoothly LIC will process it and is Gazette Notification enough for them or may require anything else too?
