I’m not from Bangalore but stayed there for some time some years ago. My information may be outdated
1) I’m assuming your train arrives at Bangalore City Railway station (which is right next to Majestic bus stand)
If you’re a guy you should easily be able to get a room near Majestic bus stand at less than 500/day. In fact I think the Govt itself has a kind of mini hotel at the interstate bus stand. If you’re a girl, obviously look for a better hotel. You can find these online
2) The cheapest possible way to get to the airport are the BMTC airport service Volvo buses. If you’re next to Majestic bus stand getting such a bus shouldn’t be a problem, I guess

Another reason for the high costs for travelling to the new airport is probably is because its situated outside the city. I hv heard some 60kms away!

in mid-city 30-35 kms but still flat rate of 700 for up to 30 kms are charged by cab operators

@master_mind Even the Volvo buses charge as much as about 220 rupees for rides to/from the airport. The main reason is the distance from the city as mentioned by some people. The second reason is the toll charges.

Book this hotel.. Stayed in this hotel for 5hrs to catch next connecting flight, hotel is quite good as you’re single.. No need to worry.. near to airport… McDonald’s is near to this hotel…

2) What mode of transportation should I choose ? I mean, I have done analysis that most of the hotels are far away ( min 30+ kms ) away from the airport. so, what should I do to minimize the transport cost. – There is no other option, just ask someone around and stay in minimal hotel

As I have flight at 6.30am, can anyone suggest me a place from where I can get offline taxi / uber / tfs / ola etc. easily ? – Offcourse OLA
