Are you a govt. Employee now?
To secure a job , much preparation is needed
I am preparing for it from a year,,hope to clear it this time
I am taking the exam this time. Though not yet started the preparation.
for securing a high ranking you should give enough time to the preparation. 4 to 6 hours is enough. should focus on maths english mainly, if your GK is good.
without preparation one can’t hope for selection.
bro CGL is not easy .
last month i gave SSC MTS Exam , and to my surprise the exam got cancelled due to paper leak , will held again in Oct – Nov
and yes u need to focus on reasoning maths general awareness , try to solve questions in time … there is negative marking .
Join some coaching and be determined , keep focus on studies .
English and Reasoning is Pretty Basic
If you prepared for any other competitive exam or job interview or amcat/eLitmus , that’s more than enough
GA is something you need to concentrate
It’s school maths, may be some basic concepts in +1 n +2
AFAIK most of the questions are overrated
They give so much hype and coaching centres get benefited a lot by that
Unless you know nothing, I won’t recommend any coaching centre, its nothing but time waste
PS: I am talking about SSC-CGL , never attempted any other SSC exams
Nacho bc sab
Edit..
Going to appear this time too.
2/3 years ago mains was awesome & got hope but they cancelled all center exams as they found some cheating is done at some northern india center.
And now from 2 years getting stuck in tier 2 by small margins
Which topics to focus on?
Hello,
I am preparing for Government exams. I tried SSC CGL exam last year but could not make it. hope this year it will work.
It needs lots of preparation strategy to crack SSC CGL exam. Tier two exam needs hard work for mathematics and general knowledge.
can anyone suggest some books for preparation? who crack the exam with books please share here

I attempted it once long back with zero preparation
Although I haven’t cleared it, missed the cut off by a very less margin (10%)
You don’t really need specific preparation for this exam unless you don’t remember much about topics from your high school
