Have not purchased from Taobao but have done so from AliExpress. If you are willing to shell out 3.5-4k for Customs, go for it. I purchased P8Max last year for $600 and had to pay 3.5k customs..

Oh and you need lots of patience. I ordered via Fedex with 7 days delivery but unfortunately, my phone was stuck at customs for more than a month and Fedex just didnt respond saying it is out of their purview.. Finally received after 40 days inspite of paying nearly 1.5k for shipping!

Are you shipping from the taobao agent? I heard DPEX is faster and cheaper than fedex from China to India. Just ordered a P9 phone with 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM on Taobao HuaWei store for only $400, now I’m waiting for my phone.

Use china registered post, your parcel will sail through customs most times.
