I recharged my mother’s phone with unlimited plan of 61 rs a week back. It was supposed to be working for 15 days. But yesterday outgoing stopped working. So I recharged with unlimited for 15 days again. It got expired today. So just for outgoing I recharged with 30 rs now. It seems this is also going to be working for one day. Not sure what is happening with bsnl. Not only my number , my aunt’s number also having same issue. She lost around 300 rs balance. I tried reaching customer care. But they are not picking up the phone

Always check recharge of bsnl number on bsnl portal which shows the latest plans & validity as per number’s home circle.

some of these bsnl customer care are not so knowledgeable.. best to visit their office .. now a days they are more customer friendly. Their 3g speed also very good in my area. atleat for now.. their validity extension plans are cheaper than any one else.

Do send ⋆STOP⋆ to ⋆155223⋆ once.
As it is for Deactivation of Value Added Services (VAS) for BSNL, in most circles.
↗it↖ should get you a reply message with all the active VAS/STV (if any).
Can rule out if any useless charge is eating balance.
For other things, as already mentioned by someone above…
always crosscheck with BSNL first.
Yes their vendors running the call centres were coerced to shut operations from circles which aren’t fully under the control of the incumbent central government
thus, it is possible that a single (circle) call centre is now loaded with calls from 4-5 states.
So that could mean hold times of even 20-25 minutes during day, before getting human assistance.
Try at late night or around 7am when shifts change.

Besides calling them or checking their website
One can send ⋆STVHLP DATA⋆ to ⋆123⋆
or
⋆STVHLP VOICE⋆ to ⋆123⋆ or ⋆STVHLP SMS⋆ to ⋆123⋆
the reply sms received will also serve as legal proof, besides removing confusion.

I’m assuming it would’ve worked with the ⋆444⋆448# method too.

In Mtnl case, customer care knows more than the gossip ladies in there offices.

Yes there are still those shitty ladies group left .

Network problem is there and issue resolve time is more as also Merging process is on .( Bsnl and Mtnl )


In your case Don’t recharge without contacting cc. l

Tell  them  you are amongst one of the Jewel  of Dd , you might get 50 % discount .

What you say would apply to main balance. I would try to deactivate once if any . But I had subscribed to unlimited plans of 15 days and somehow those are deactivated in just one day of recharge. I dont understand that part

in my area, bsnl net speed reaches up to 20mbps between morning 2am to 9am. after 9am, net speed is very slow.
