Yeah if it includes UNLIMITED 4G DATA
else not interested
LYF phones are not worth for the price Reliance is quoting… But the Jio 4G service for the 3 months of unlimited internet, calls, jio apps & messages makes it an acceptable buy as they have made it mandatory to get the unlimited offer from Jio 4G.
I think wind4 is worth 5k.. They are selling g it for 6.8k. The Delta is very well compensated by the unlimited voice & data offered…
PS: I own a Wind 4 since last 3 days.. Feedback is based on my usage

How is Wind 1? Did you check it while purchasing wind 4? Any other LYF mobiles which you liked?
I just checked flame, wind6 and wind4..
Flame was pretty bad.. Like the ones with 256mb or 512mb RAM.. Cheap build…
Wind6 was with white plastic back.. Was pretty much like wind6.. Dropped it coz of its 2ah battery.. There was a free power bank with it for 6.5k if I am not wrong.. Shop guys were keen on selling me a wind6 initially..
There was an earth 1 model too for 20k with a 6 in screen.. Looked premium.. Didn’t check it since it was not in my horizon..
There were 2-3 other models too which I didn’t even bother to look..
Didn’t find wind 1 – may be it was there and I didn’t look..

Wind 1 has SD 410, so it must be a little better in processing power compared to Wind 4’s SD 210. It also has USB OTG feature and has hybrid sim option. Though battery dept is a letdown with just 2300mah. I haven’t received the invite yet. I will check if Wind 4 is available… If not, then i will go for Wind 1.
@gambitrite wrote:whats the use of 4G if battery has to be charged twice a day(approx 4 to 5 hrs). after downloading in phone how many times u will transfer from phone to usb drive when using both sims, hybrid is better in 32gb internal ones. i m using wind 4 did not find any lag till now in normal usage. rest is yours until u install asphalt, nova 3, modern combat, etc

Thanks for the review. But Wind 4 is OOS in most of the shops near my house. So thinking of an alternative as flame phones are not so good.
@gambitrite wrote:think of data and calls as broadband may not also provide such an unlimited plan at 2 to 4 Mbps download plan. flame phones are not worthy.

I too agree but with Wind 4 OOS, the shops are not sure when they will get the next stock & they are pushing me to buy other LYF phones like wind 6 & flame phones. My first choice is Wind 4 but i might have to wait…

I was considering to buy one of the lower-end Lyf models until the beginning of this month. Then I realized that I am neither “data starved” nor am I always on the road to really utilize the data benefits of a 4G connection. Moreover, their lowest priced Flame models are 4000, which means paying about 1300 for 3 months of data/calls usage. Assuming that the phone is really worthless and that there won’t be any extra charges for the SIM. I pay a few hundreds more than that for all of my personal data/voice requirements. So I decided to drop the idea to buy into this scheme. CC @getready @goss8877
Just for clarity, by not being “data starved” I mean that I already have a good 50 Mbps connection at home with an FUP which I never exceed and I do not have any pending download/streaming wishlist because of bandwidth/data shortage.

50 mbps is more than attractive speed who is still stuck with 1Mbps BSNL BB. Between which service provider are you using and what are the monthly charges?

I feel your pain, bro. As for my ISP/plan, click on the “Tarrifs” tab and select Bangalore as the city on the following page: http://www.acttv.in/index.php/products/act-bro....

I too wasn’t interested in buying LYF mobile as i am having a BSNL broadband plan [2mbps until 20gb, beyond that 1mbps unlimited] but recently my 3TB external HDD & 2TB external HDD went kaput & are not working after a power failure. I had lots of good TV series & Movies collection which i lost. So thought of downloading some of them using Jio 4G unlimited.
yup
for normal users its ok …
