“Btw did you got this card on the basis of your salary/cibil or was it just offered to you on the basis of your savings acc history of maintaining minimum balance.”
@Dealcharmer
I have a account with axis bank since 2012 and maintaining 10000 this is my main account so i transact around 11-12 lacs per annum and i already had a free axis neo credit card and then i called their customer care and asked them to upgrade it to flipkart cobranded card . and i am self employed not salaried
@guest_999 I have a sbi prime card should i downgrade it to simply click ?? as i do most of my shopping online. the only benefit of sbi prime is that i get pizza hut voucher every quarter on spending 50000 ?
Are you sure you are using this card in correct manner? This card gives 20 Reward Points per Rs. 100 spent on standing instructions of Utility Bills payments capped to max of 3000 points per month for utility bill payments so by paying utility bills of 5k per month you will be able to get 1000 points which is equal is Rs.250 per month(4 reward points=Rs.1) just for paying utility bills.You also get 15 Reward Points per Rs.100 spent on BigBasket & 10 Reward Points per Rs.100 spent on Dining, Groceries, Departmental stores and Movies.You earn 2 Reward Points per Rs.100 on all other retail spends.Reward points on this card can be adjusted against your next credit card bill(4 reward points=Rs.1).
SBI simply click gives 10 reward points per Rs.100 spend on amazon,bookmyshow,cleartrip,foodpanda,netmeds,rentomojo & urbanclap(wallet loading not incl on these sites). It gives 5 reward points per Rs.100 spend on all other online spends & 2 reward points per Rs.100 for offline transactions.The reward points(4 reward points=Rs.1) you get on this card can only be used to redeem options available in redeem section(recharges,products,vouchers etc).
@guest_999 I have not been using it for bills because i pay bills using different wallets like paytm,phonpe or payzapp according to the best offer available at that time … i have earned around 15000 reward points so far . so what do you recommend ? should i keep this or go for simplyclick ? the only benefits i got from this card are 3000 welcome voucher of shopper stop and a pizza hut voucher every quarter .
15000RPs are equal to Rs.3750 & this card’s annual cost is 3k so you are still earning something but not enough.My friend also uses this card but his annual spend is 5 lakh+ so he also gets 7k flight vouchers which he use to book flights. Just compare the sbi simplyclick reward points with your usage & see how much extra benefits you will get by downgrading as its annual fee of Rs.500 will be waived off in your case as annual spend will definitely be more than 1 lakh so basically it will be free for you. Also try to get amazon pay card & use that for all amazon spends for 5% off unless there is some sbi card 10% off offer in which case use sbi simplyclick card.
how do you convert reward points into rupees ?
Any ICICI card against FD is not eligible for any upgrade as there the card is held in lien marked against FD. I too opted for FD based thinking to upgrade to Amazon Pay after 6 months, but to my shock I confirmed with branch, email, phone customer care that it cannot be upgraded.
No card against FD can be upgraded,it is true for all Indian banks. You are supposed to apply to get apay card as another card. ICICI & many other banks allow 2 credit cards if one of them is co-branded(e.g.any icici card & icici amazon pay card).
@ashmail123957 did you get Amazon ICICI card? I want to get it for my mother…she has account in axis and was eligible for axis myzone card…so ask the agent to apply for axis Flipkart card…now if she get fk axis card can she apply for Amazon ICICI on card to card basis
@guest_999
Card on card basis doesn’t work for ICICI Apay (unless the source card is ICICI CC)
No, I’ve been rejected twice after waiting for 180 days both times, it’s been a year since I’m trying to get this card.
If you are getting FK card, then it’s better than Apay as it gives 1.5 % for other transactions compared to Apay’s 1%
Have you applied for apay card separately or did you try to upgrade your existing icici fd card to apay(which is not possible) both times?
Both times, I tried separately, in between I took out an FD CC as well to see if we get an option to upgrade, but it simply displays the message " your credit card is not eligible for any upgrade".
Only option I can see is to get a standalone Coral credit card and then upgrade to Apay after 6 months, but even that is impossible with my Cibil score of 675. I even asked the bank if they can issue pre-approved coral credit card as I’m ICICI bank customer since last 20 years, but they said it’s all automated and they are system generated offers.
With a cibil score of 675 I don’t think you will get any good card.How did your score went this low?
it’s a long story, but the question is how long will it take to reach 750 with all full payments intime? I guess ICICI requires score of 800 to issue a CC
Just my guess but it may take even an year to reach ~730 from 675. My friend got icici card with cibil score ~740 & most of the comments here also suggests that a score ~730-760 is goo enough for most cards.
Waste offer.Just comes with increased min monthly avg balance & no practical benefits whatsoever. Keep more than 10-15k only in a bank which gives at lest 5-6% interest rate or give some good credit card(like ICICI amazon pay card or one of the HDFC card).
