Today I applied for both tier 1 and tier 2 account with deposit of 500 in each… verified by adhaar…
PRAN number generated..
Now what to do?
login to nps application.
search nps in playstore or.
cra-nsdl.com/CRA/
Its still in freeze state…after how much time i will be able to add money
Edit: now tier-1 and tier-2 activated for contribution… deposited some amount in tier-1
@rogerthat finally opened tier 2 account and downloaded esigned form. Now should i send this document to anywhere or just sit and relax for few days.
Wait for a week
@rogerthat Bro I work in govt sector, I have NPS tier I account. How to open Tier II account
apply online through cra Portal
I have APY account opened through bank? Can i again open these NPS tier 1&2 accnts?
If no, then what to do ???
close apy account or open nps in mrs name
One more interesting think for investment in NPS Tier 2 do you can use your Kotak PVR card when you transact for 15000 rupees in a month you get 2 free PVR tickets worth around 800 rupees so you pay 135 rupees + GST that is around 150 rupees for two tickets PVR if you get some return on your NPS Tier 2 account it will be a Bonanza for you
First page link not working,
can you please update the same?
@rogerthat bhai my tier 2 account has been activated now. I chose icici prudential and gave 33, 33 and 34% weightage. what scheme would you suggest to opt for I am planning to ivest Rs 1 Lakh through my cc. and may be after 10-15 days request for withdrawal
i advised hdfc.
increase your equity portion to 50% or more better results
@rogerthat
The first link does not work.
Also if I go to register directly from website (https://npscra.nsdl....n/), I am on step 2 “contact details” tab and I am unable to fill up the Fatca details as I have no TIN. Without filling it up, it does not let me go ahead.
Use your PAN card number (it’s tax identification number)
What is the minimum contribution for tier 1 ?
I mean , minimum contribution per year.
@rogerthat Bhai what do you think of NoBroker app, just charging 99 for 10,000
And how to increase the Citi bank credit card limit, any tips or ideas?
They might end up asking for rent agreement.
@rogerthat
What should be ideal ratio of annual income and collective credit limit of all credit cards a person holds.
Read somewhere, banks consider this ratio before issuing credit card to their new customers.
what the max contribution for tier 1 ? since contribution to tier 1 is already getting deducted thru bank account, will it be same for tier 2 account also ?
upper limit for self contribution is 2L, Tax benefit is 1.5L under 80CCD + 50k under 80CCD(1b)
For max benefit,
10% of basic salary (for salaried) + 50k for 80ccd + upto 1.5L for 80c (depending on other 80c contribution)
Reference :
https://cleartax.in/s/section-80-...1b
for govt employee contribution is now 14%.
and they can claim deduction on tier 2 investment also if locked in for 3 years.
Hame kab milega 14%
Do we need to pay initially to activate Tier-2 account? Whether I have to send documents to anywhere for activation?
yes for Payment.
yes/no depends on your luck
@rogerthat Bhai how is the airtel payments bank to airtel merchant account trick?
Charges for this process?
currently i am getting amex card not supported for nps contribution.. is it same for everyone? looking to complete 6 transactions of this month
on nps app ?
i tried once it went upto OTP stage
Yes, I am using SBI Gateway, yesterday night it was working but now it is giving error
where to use credit card for investment
@rogerthat currently . i have a ppf for rs 1,50,000 , also i get epf at rs 1800pm .
now company has given option to contribute 12% of salalry. +eps also and they were asking for pran no also. what should i do?
don’t opt for nps
its market linked and risky.
you can open nps account on your own and contribute 50k yearly for additional tax benefit.
i repeat do not switch from your existing pension scheme.
Registered on monday early morning. Still showing PRAN no not found on status page.
How long before I call them?
7 days

I am trying to open a new NPS account using above Link as you recommended.
Can you please help clarifying below queries?

2. Do we need to submit cancelled cheque mandatorily..? My sbi account doesn’t have any cheque facility.
3. My aadhaar address and sbi address is the same, but I don’t have cheque for this sbi.. Will it be a problem if I want to open Tier 2 account as I see cancelled cheque is mandatory for tier2
4. I do have SCB salary account with cheque book, but address with it is not updated. Is it okay if I give scb bank account for ekyc details as it is also linked with aadhaar…?

@rogerthat want to start investment in tier 2 nps account but this is for saving not for cc to bank purpose. what r ur suggestions?
NPS is a good product.. its basically as mutual funds product with less loading charges ..
Since investment is automatically spread in instruments of variable risks, Risks are lower and so are returns ..
If you have the knowledge for MFs and invest directly, then do that but if are not doing MFs then NPS is good option
I hv query related to voluntary contribution to nps under Section 80CCD(2) (10% of basic salary in addition to 50K/year limit). How can i do it myself because my organization is not doing it and how to claim it ITR?
