Tata Docomo has deducted Rs 23 even after recharging for Rs 35. I have raised the complaint to Tata Docomo and appellate officer. Customer care simply refused to help and appellate officer didn’t bother to reply. Where I can complain further?
I am thinking how much Tata Docomo would be earning by this malpractice since hardly few users complain as it is just matter of Rs 23.

Service validity recharges will never be in the Q. Each recharge will starts counting day 1 from the very first date of recharge, by forgetting its previous leftover validity.

How to check that? As far as I know, Tata docomo doesn’t have that Q facility like Jio

Because 111# and *1111# shows just validity of existing plan of Rs 165 which is 56 days from the recharge.

May be you have recharged 35 pack during 2nd day of initial grace period (i.e after disconnecting outgoing service)
Do 23 or 35 rs pack on very first day of initial service validity period expiry. Else only do regular topups, by which they can deduct 23 regularly.

Thanks for message. Let me download the app and check. But isn’t it morally wrong to charge for Rs 23 even customer has recharged. I feel like Rs 23 is wasted which could have been used for recharging existing plan. Outgoing call charge is 2.5 paise per second. !!!

I was into some 10-15 days of Rs23 plan which was auto deducted and one day while testing a coupon on paytm I do not know what I did but it did not ask for coupon and recharge done from Balance for Rs35. As of now My 23 plan not yet finsihed and validity shows another 28 days from the existing plan last date.

12:37:19 AM Recharged Rs 35 (Took 2-3 hours since Tata Docomo was down in Freecharge)
09:16:01 AM Rs 23 deduction

then it seems both (23 and 35) plan validity cumulatively added for you.. seems Weird.

the 35 recharge time 12:37:19 AM is 29th day or 30th day of your previous pack ? bcoz generally docomo gives 1 day time then only it deducts from main balance

Yes, it seems so. Software issues comes up processing recharge requests. Automatic ones gets priority in such cases. Better to cancel automatic ones.

Worst is they don’t have any option to refund manually in such cases. Felt the same heat with Vodafone recently. A blunt sorry was the answer. disappointed

@makeourdeal you can surely try calling cc and asking for refund to know their process. Chances are little for getting any though. smirk

The lease one can expect from Trai is their inexistence. Completely useless body. CCI is enough to handle all the (consumers) policy aspects given a free hand. Just another cash cow imo.

Cheating has reached at the top level. My balance deducted on 7th March, 2019. But customer care is saying it is deducted on 2nd march, 2019. He was taking too rudely even when I was talking to him politely. He also refused to transfer to senior.

Hmmm. Had you contacted Vodafone on Twitter? Anytime I have needed refund it had been processed without much fuss. Even in cases where existing pack had been overwritten with a newer one. Don’t bother with telephonic CC. Social media is the way to go. Same probably applies to every operator other than Idea (no experience with BSNL) who have never ever resolved any issue. YMMV of course.

If you can see properly, the impact is much more than 23/35 rupees. It’s not just the money but the attitude needs to be addressed imo.

PS: Feel free to ignore any such cases in future.

for one person it might be Rs 35. But calculate how much these people would be earning. Suppose if only 0.01% faces this type of issue from 19 million users. Do the math.

It was resolved by appellate officer in my case. Customer care were totally idiots.
