Hi.
I recently bought an expensive cow ghee because everyone in family wanted a pure cow ghee. It is very costly.
But now after receiving the ghee, I see it is white in color and some kind of texture sticking to sides. Also in spoon, some part is clear liquid and some part is hard unmixable part. Pics below. What do you guys think. Is it fake/adulterated with something?
Any more simple tests that I can do?

Kuchh nahi niklega… kahenge ki gaiya maiya ne adultrated chaara khaya hoga…
Do you have iodine solution @ home?
Nope.
my mother think that it is slightly pure not 100% she thinks
Aisa hi hota hai ghee… khao bindasssss
If thats true, then thanks for your reassurance. Appreciate it. Will KG.
Try bigbasket ghee if available in your area next time… Its really good
Pure ghee aisa hi dikhta
People add many things in ghee… They add mashed potatoes. They add vegetable oil. Some even add urea mixed with some chemicals.
Don’t buy ghee from someone you don’t know very well.
Here, desi ghee costs 800 rs per kg.
That’s cheap bro!
The original one I purchased last is 2 yrs back @ 1200 RS from rural areas and of desi cow (not jersey), pure homemade! They never consumed the cream. The ghee was grainy, texture was yellow and the smell is never ever found in any packed ones I have ever come across at others’ places.
It’s pure ghee bro…Cow ghee aisa hi hota h..Don’t worry…
Original cow ghee have a strong smell & two colors are never there at the same time.. Moreover, just looking at the picture isn’t enough to tell if its original.
But, I will recommend NEVER to buy Amul Pure Cow.. (white pack/tin, shown in above post).
Bring home Lachha Yadav, budhe….
Always consumed homemade ghee …..grainy and white in colour …never had a yellow ghee
Baba buddhe ho gaye lekin abhi tak ghee ki pehchan nahi aayi.
All The package ghee available in market are legally and also illegally adulterated .
Forget of getting pure ghee @ Rs 400 – 600 , not even @ 1000.
Calculate the cost of milk and cost to convert in ghee , you will get the percantage of adulteration in it.
True .for 1kg ghee you ll need 25-30 LTR milk only .Which ll cost around 1000-1500 .pure ghee for 800-1000 not possible .
Also ghee available in market mostly is raw milk cream not the curd churned.
Its different.
Ghee from cream obtained by churning curd is best.. We have bought many different kind & brands of ghee, but nothing matches that smell & taste.
Brand??
i always use this ghee..its really good.. almost like home made ghee, texture and smell..

For pure ghee
1. buy full creme milk and boil for 30min under low fire
2.Collect creme/Malai and keep in fridge
3. After a week or 10 days make ghee out of malai
Yes you need to do this hard work, you find nowhere pure ghee, even in villages I could not find, they are also cheats when it comes to ghee or too too expensive.
Pure ghee available online?can anyone share the link/brand name based on their experience?
We can’t find pure item in “Kalyug”
So eat whatever is available in market and imagine it is pure.
Find a food testing lab test the ghee .
Ghee ka ghee Pani ka Pani hojayega
