BSNL to raise tariff from December :)

On Vodafone Idea, Airtel & Jio footsteps, BSNL to raise tariff from December

NEW DELHI: State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is currently reviewing its mobile tariff plans and will raise it from December 2019, following the hike announced by private telecom carriers.

“We are presently examining our voice and data tariff and will increase it from December 1, 2019,” a senior BSNL official who does not wish to be named told ETT.

However, the person privy to the matter didn’t elaborate on the quantum of a proposed hike but added that it would be conveyed to the subscribers in the coming weeks.

All Of Sudden, Why Every Operator Is Ready To Increase The Tarric Plans. Something Coming Up In 2020?

IMO, BSNL Should Wait And See All Operators And Then Launch A Competitive Or Better Plans With More Data/Call Bundle.

Indian laws laughing …allow media houses the liberty to keep their government or corporate sources anonymous while reporting, but sometimes it feels, they simply invent imaginary sources.

already relative pack prices, validity prices went up or the benefits reduced.

previously, even though base plan benefit might be X data, they would add promotional offers and give 2x/2.5x additional.
now long duration validity packs depreciated altogether (in most circles).

Maharashtra, Goa, MP.CG call centres (private companies) closed and load shifted to Gujarat (private company/vendor).
(even Amazon’s outsourced call centre/IBM Daksh Amdavaad CC now takes Amazon escalation contacts)

so connecting to support too becomes a 14-20 minute wait, depending on staffing at Gujarat and call flow.

for same reason, now even after PORT request, nobody from retention team calls to help save the loss/port out.

at-least their BB or land-line customers are getting paid (by BSNL) 6 paisa per minute for making out calls.

previously 1699 gave 15 months validity + outgoing + data and Sms

so
1699 = less than 4Rs/day
· 448 = less than 6Rs/day

now only 1098/1099 is without FUP sad
1098 = more than 13Rs/day

so which is best now? sad
or maybe wait till March/Holi for better plans?

Because the free ride is over. Now that we are addicted of using 2gb per day, we have to pay premium for it.

Well This has been the plan since the inception of 4g. That’s why I keep reminding my Maa and sister to use data which is actually needed, and not just for the sake of it.

That’s a good advice.

I rarely used mobile data because I always had much faster broadband connection at my office as well as home where I spent majority of my time.

People were bashing JIO for hiking prices by 6P/min for non jio calls, Now all carriers will increase prices by 15-30 % (read it somewhere that jio may increase prices by 15% and this gives AVOID chance to increase tariff upto 30%). I dont oppose price hike if companies are really not profitable anymore by little margin. Just don’t want the era of Airtel loot back where i had to pay 1500 Rs for 12 GB data.

Note: BTW i agree with you, we want to use data then need to pay for it. There is no free lunch in this world. Just hope those dark days dont come again where people were forced to pay 200-250 Rs for 1 GB data.
