Cheapest way to ship from New York to Mumbai

Hi all, I want to purchase a garment from eBay.com, the seller says the cheapest option is around $50 shipping from USPS, which makes no sense for small items. Im just wondering if theres any other way to ship a parcel of around 1 kg from New York to Mumbai ? I don’t mind waiting for longer time as long as I can track it.

Its a jacket, but my question is general, there may be some good deals on eBay.com or any other sites, but shipping kill the deals !
Do note that most of the clothes (except military) in the US comes from India, China, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka. When you receive it, you may find “Made in India” or “Made in China” label. All the best!
Not true. My wardrobe has clothes from US and they are different in quality and design even cheaper than India.

, even if there is one, I suppose the best way is to manage on your own, I have heard of services like airposted etc, anyone tried them ?
