Today I lost all of my Chrome bookmarks and now I am unable to recover it. Even after syncing it, it is not there.
Later I came to know that this is a major issue. See the link below
https://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!cate...
I suggest everyone to backup their chrome bookmarks. Syncing it doesn’t guarantee that it can be recovered.

I normally export bookmarks on regular intervals and same the resultant file in google drive
I am using xmarks bookmark sync. So no worry. KG for info.
I would feel pretty relax if this happens with my chrome, have almost 10,000+ bookmarks

(he can be) dropping friend too
that is,
tossing ’em outta window !
Backwards compatible and easy roll-backs if needed, while preserving bookmarks
so ?! do you hear the sweet melody and the inner call Nibras
Netscape , its THE thing that’s been there forEVER.. and EVERYone loves it
I myself keep multiple tabs open
and still it retains session data including all open tabs and any filled forms or text, even in the unlikely even of a crash
best of the kind private mode with efficient do not track me settings
I use Norton and Cyscon cyber security and phishing protection add-ons or plug-ins and there are many other too.
so try it now !
Firefox is better http://new3.fjcdn.com/pictures/Firefox_9056c1_2... Nibras
So what’s the solution?
EDIT: used xmarks as recommended above by parthbhai. Hope it’s safe.
like xmarks, is there any extension to save all my extensions on chrome ?
I had the same exp with FF too when I said YES for an update to latest version. After update I found no bookmarks.

did you rule out any peculiarities or any crash or power outage events that might have interrupted or corrupted the installation or and switching off before the background processes are all done ?
I’ve used Netscape and subsequently Mozilla for nearly two decades and have gone through a lot of these scenarios (updates, roll-back. install, uninstall but do not remove saved data, testing products that are still under development versions.).
the bookmarks and other folders in the current versions of thunderbird or Mozilla or other builds are not actually impacted as such during an update or roll-back, so it is unlikely that a mere update would corrupt or remove them.
If you know the path to the installation of the earlier version, you might actually find the folder still there. (also, Mozilla ought to allow you to simple re-install the earlier version, if you have the installation or download it afresh and run it).
even i lost the bookmarks few weeks ago,
it deleted my latest 5 months data,
only old bookmarks was saved !!
