I don’t see a place to fill in gift card details on Cleartrip while booking train tickets. There is no ‘promo code’ box. How to use the gift card?
AFAIK, you cannot buy IRCTC tickets using gift cards. I’m not 100 % sure though.
CC @DealSeeker
this Gift Card is valid for online bookings made on www.cleartr...om for flights and hotels only.

@thrifty_indian The physical or email GC can not be used for train bookings.
I bought the gift cards after reading this thread. http://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-online...
Damn, now I have to sell them? No other option?

Bro, I don’t recall anybody mentioning that GC can be used for train bookings. In fact, VJ [ i.e. @VaibhavJain ] and a few others have pointed out the train booking restriction on a few occasions.
Anyway, what’s done is done. Trading them on DD for what you paid shouldn’t be hard. I’d advice you to wait until the Amazon offer goes away, though.

Is there a way to add money in Pockets account via credit card?

I wish!
People have already tried using most of the wallet VCCs as debit cards on Pockets, but nobody has been successful AFAIK. The only way, which requires waiting for a month or more, is to buy bank prepaid cards (like the Axis prepaid card from GCI) and then using them to load money on Pockets.
@TechNinja @Hitesh-rawaT @TechINC @happy2prog @GoogleCA @VaibhavJain Let me know if you have discovered a way.

@thrifty_indian you can add money in Paytm Wallet and book via Cleartrip to get 20% Cashback
http://www.cleartrip.com/offers/india/paytm-...rs
Though the T&C say that offer is valid for Hotel and Flight bookings but many dimers confirmed that they received cashback for train bookings also. Please confirm before proceeding. Currently unable to find that thread on DD. If this works then effective return would bd around 25%

Yes, I have also read about Paytm giving cashback even for train bookings, despite their official T&Cs which suggest otherwise.

So much misleading info flowing around here. Spend so much time looking for saving money and ended up loosing a conformed birth and money stuck in vouchers and wallets.

Bro Convenience Fee is for booking flight tickets
On train bookings Convenience Fee is there but it is not Rs.200. It is 1.30%+ Service Tax on Paytm and 1.80%+ Service Tax on Mobikwik
I got a new problem(not sure if it’s a problem) with cleartrip+paytm now…
Booked a confirmed ticket on 14th with paytm and got cashback and PNR number….Now the cashback has been reversed and money is also credited back…but the PNR is still active and no email from cleartrip regarding any failed payment or so…
Anyone else faced this issue? Just wanted to know if the ticket gets cancelled…

1st Load money in DigiBank app and then add to Pockets it works, if DigiBank app also didn’t accept CC then add in Oxigen or any other wallet and load money in DigiBank Account by IMPS then load money in pockets by that.
Note:
1. I Came online after few time so late reply,
2. My Phone is not with me right now, so can’t check that DBS’s app accept CC or not,
3. I added in Pockets by DigiBank Card few day back (22 Dec.) so can’t say it is possible now or not (Maybe they have changed now).
cleartrip train cashback Is still on or has expired?
