Acharya Balkrishna, yoga guru Ramdev’s aide and co-founder of Patanjali Ayurved, has been ranked 48th on the Forbes magazine’s ‘100 Richest Indians’ list.
Forbes pegged Balkrishna’s net worth to be at $2.5 billion – nearly Rs 16,000 crore.
Patanjali did an impressive marketing campaign among stone-age Indians( Read Uneducated/ illiterate/ or those who believe fictions over science) to make perception that their products are superior to the one start with those international companies.
In fact, most of their products knock off or average quality. And that’s the reason why they can sell it at an appealing price range for their targeted customers.
Patanjali Honey? Yikes.
If someone inspired me from FMCG space, then this is the guy who did. – Read https://yourstory.com/2015/11/id-...h/
http://www.idspecial.com/iDTrustShop/inde...ml – BECAUSE TRUST MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
What will happen if Patanjali operated only through this kind of trust shops?

Have you tried all their products before making such a statement?

Definitely not, I don’t have that much energy. A good number of their products ( read ayurvedic rasayans and similar BS) are not backed by actual science and not appealing me. I have tried their products like Ghee, Honey etc and the quality is not par with the ones I directly bought from farmers. I don’ know how to judge their products like biscuites and all, apart from the taste. That’s why I called them as average.

Try their Atta, its quality is definitely on par with that of leading brands.
How do you judge the quality of any biscuit for that matter?
Their Aloe Vera soap and gel are good too. They are much better than the other brands in the same price range.
I’ve not used any of their medicines and so I cannot comment on that.
For ghee and honey, I always prefer Khadi.

It is tough to make bad atta I’m sure the quality their similar products (masalas and all ) are on par other competitors.
Biscuits – No comments – I have seen the construction workers in Mumbai eats Parle-G for their lunch. I definitely appreciate anyone who makes competition in that area to avoid monopoly. Making a balanced meal replacement on a small price range is tough, but hope we will have a solution for that soon.
Aloe vera gel – The one I use costs double for the 50 gm, I think Patanjali will be good enough in that price range.
Have you tried Patanjali Ghee and Honey?

As I said, none beats the quality of Khadi butter (which we clarify into ghee at home) and honey till date, for me.
ab ye konsaa nayaa scheme hey bhaai?
