I came here to read your views on it but since a thread does not exist yet, I am creating one. Let this be the single place to read info about how to prevent this devil from entering your body. Those of you who are in Noida / Bangalore, what are your views? Assuming the Noida man had this thing since 20th Feb, he would have gone to a lot of crowded places in last 10 days and since incubation period is 15 days, we may not know who all locally caught this in last 10 days !

Goa defeats COVID-19, no active case in state

All seven COVID-19 patients in Goa have recovered from the infection and have been discharged, chief minister Pramod Sawant said on Sunday.

He said that all the seven persons are natives of Goa, but six of them had returned to the state from abroad.

“The repeat samples of the seven COVID-19 patients have tested negative for the infection. While six of them had been discharged earlier, the last patient was discharged on Sunday,” Sawant said.

He said that after their recovery, all of them have been shifted to a quarantine facility, where they will be kept under observation for the next few days.

The last of the seven COVID-19 cases in the state was detected on April 3. The state government has set up a dedicated hospital to treat coronavirus patients. It has also set up a laboratory at Goa Medical College and Hospital for testing.

Sawant said that all the agencies, including the health department and police, worked in tandem to bring the results.

He said his government will write to the Centre to inform it that all the patients have been cured and discharged, and no fresh cases have been reported in the state.

“It is up to the Centre to declare Goa as a green zone,” he said.

The chief minister said that though the number of positive cases have come down to zero, citizens should continue to remain at home during the lockdown.

“The restrictions during the lockdown period will continue. We will go as per the central government’s guidelines,” he said.

Meanwhile, state health minister Vishwajit Rane tweeted, “We are proud to announce that all the patients that were reported positive in the state of Goa have recovered from the COVID-19. The active number of cases in Goa now stands at zero.” — PTI

Delhi has got its own narrative:

Following this, the Delhi Police issued an advisory to all the district DCPs, Special CPs, Joint CPs and other units of Delhi Police.

The Delhi government in view of the assessment of COVID-19 situation in Delhi, has decided to maintain status quo with respect to strict implemention of consolidated guidelines issued by the order of Government of India on April 15 without any relaxation for “additional activities” till another comprehensive assessment on April 27 for further orders, according to the advisory.

It further stated “additional activities proposed with effect from April 20, are not allowed in Delhi until further orders.”

However, central government employees above the rank of Deputy Secretary will be attending their offices 100 per cent and the lower level staff 30 per cent. Since it is not possible to gauge who are within the 30 per cent, all central government employees be permitted on the basis of their identity cards, it stated.

Several officers of the central government commute in hired taxis, therefore such vehicles carrying officers be allowed on the basis of their identity cards, the police advisory added.

Lockdown relaxations by Kerala a violation: MHA

The Home Ministry red flags the Kerala government’s additional relaxation measures during the lockdown and shot off a letter to CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
Government of India wrote to the Government of Kerala over the dilution of guidelines issued by the MHA and the violation of the MHA Order dated 15th April 2020 issued under the Disaster Management Act 2005.

The Kerala government has announced relaxation of the lockdown restrictions in two zones, allowing among others private vehicles movement in an odd-even basis and dine-in services at hotels from Monday.

Situation serious in Mumbai, Kolkata: Govt

The Centre on Monday said the COVID-19 situation is “especially serious” in Mumbai, Pune, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata and a few other places in West Bengal, and violation of lockdown measures risk the spread of the novel coronavirus.

In a communication to state governments and union territories, the home ministry said there have been several incidents of violence against COVID-19 frontline healthcare professionals, complete violation of social distancing norms and movement of vehicles in urban areas. These should be stopped, it said.

My company is now discussing opening of offices with 30% workforce on rotating basis. I commute 4 hours (100 km) each day in public bus.

Now I am scared. If the lockdown opens, and I get corona then? Because I am at high risk both because of low immunity and because of type of commute.

Mobile Guru Mobile Guru

Don’t think there will be any Public transportion facility at least for one month more
The only fortunate people will be the ones with their own vehicles
That being said..the govt is only suggesting 30/50% workforce right?
May be you could ask them to be considered among the other 50/70% ? (work from home_ if available)

Tamil Nadu Doctor Buries Colleague After Mob Attack Over COVID-19 Fears

A surgeon had to bury his colleague with a shovel and the help of two ward boys at cemetery in Chennai in the middle of the night on Sunday after a mob attacked their ambulance over coronavirus fears.

Also two of my friends went to government hospital in Shimla since they had fever from few days but no tests were performed. They even offered to pay full amount . Similar thing happened in Indore. I don’t know if it’s shortage of kits or some other reason for reluctance to perform tests…
