CRED: Does it make sense to continue using it?

I think Cred is becoming too sure of itself with dynamic award redemption.
For example, Mi Band was launched at 200000 cred coins and then relaunched at 250000.
Same with Cleartrip voucher worth 5000 launched at 600000 coins and later changed to 750000.
Though I don’t value cred coins above 1.5%, such a dynamic rewards system irks me.
Also, the “Welcome offers” for cred users by other startups are worthless. One can get better deals through Paytm First etc.
I tried buying something for myself from The Man Company but there was a separate landing page for Cred users and the promocode was only applicable for these items! Guess what, the prices were too high.
Not really an attractive proposition for me to continue using Cred.
Your views please on how to maximize Cred or any alternate app which can help maximize rewards for paying bills (Paytm & PhonePe don’t reward now for credit card payment)

just get scratch cards and be done with it
Till date wr got nothing by paying credit card bills. Here we are getting for free. Whats the issue. If we stop using cred we will not get anything
Absolutely correct, something is better than nothing.
My point is, just like Paytm is now charging for adding money etc, Cred is also playing with us by modifying the rewards, changing the redemption value which is not the right thing to do.
Of course, I agree that one can just play the scratch card game and be happy. But like Google Pay has “Better Luck next time”, Cred is also going to go the same way
refer karne par amazon ka 1K ka voucher mil gya, aur kya chaie, ab mtlb pahle card use karo, use karne ke rewards point khao, fir usi bill ko pay krne k bhi khaane h …aur jab mil rhe h to pet nahi bhar rha?
abe kuch to chord do banks/Cred k pas
Refer pe 1k kahan mila bhai? Kuch nahi mila. Sirf 10 coins mile hain.
Worst I don’t use anymore
Finally, I am seeing some end to the madness of variable rewards.
Noise ear buds are available at 5,00,000 coins.
I agree that something is better than nothing but these rewards need to be fixed and not changed so quickly that people feel cheated
And I am proven wrong. Ear Buds available for increased reward price of 6,00,000
wait till a competition arrives for cred
till then, bhaagte chor ki langoti hi sahi
Competition was there in form of PhonePe and Paytm. I had received ₹200 Paytm cashback for paying 5 credit card bills worth min. ₹3000.
Do check if you guys have that offer.
It depends upon everyone’s experience and how they value the coins.
For me – 15000 points – 500 shoppers stop meant 3 paisa point value similarly myntra, noise, amazon, uber gv, tattva head message, four Fountains massage and much more somewhere 5 paisa per point or even more. For scratch card average is 10 rs for 1000 point, so again 1 paisa.
So assuming past 6 month experience i believe for small redemption upto 20k points you should ideally end up between 3 to 5 paisa for voucher. So paytm 3k offer * 5 = 15k points on cred which should be between Rs. 400 to 700
So 200 seems not that attractive at this time.
Most of the offers are useless but you should always keep a look for offers with no TnC which keep getting added from time to time and sometimes these are quite good ones.
