Credit card charges

I got charged 999 + gst on my card recently which was reversed the same day. However, gst was not reversed. Has anyone else faced this issue? What to tell cc? In the past i have tried, cc does not reverse gst charges.

for citi credit card, the gst gets reversed in the following month.
