Hello Dimers,
One of my cousin brother, Nirdh Mehta, is cycling all the way from Mumbai to Wagah Border (That’s 1700 KM and can be upto 2000 KM if he visits certain cities)…. His mission is simple… To do what he loves (cycling) and also do fund raising for our very own “Indian Army”….
Dimers, Wish him very best and please #donate #share or send your messages for soldiers using pedal4army hashtag. Donate at http://ket.to/peda...my
You can read more about the cause here: http://ket.to/peda...my
All the best Nirdh from all of us here!
PS: Please share it with your friends too…
All the best @coolnirdh242

@Alpha.Barood wrote:it isn’t a scam for sure, I am doing the ride myself, and anyone who wishes to cycle along for part or full distance can surely join in! and as far as the funds are concerned, all amount collected on Ketto directly gets deposited in Indian Army’s account at end of campaign, and all individual donors get receipt with 100% tax exemption!

@Navneet
indeed! the plan was to actually start the good work on my birthday itself, but i had to move it for safety reasons and the plan had to be tweaked after getting more holidays off work arranged. thank you very much for offering the stay! I’m just sitting down now, changing the route, calculating days and stuff. will post an update with full ride details by end of week.
so? how did it go.
would’ve loved to hear how you kept motivated (besides songs and fund raiser’s help).
especially challenges faced: expected and unexpected.
so that Firefox was final main ride?
and back-up, spare one?
i suppose there are/were two other options under budgeted allocation with Shimano gears, right?
Feedback, responses of common officers and jawans and any official acknowledgement from the forces?
how can i take part

Bro I searched route till Amritsar its 1700 km by motor and 1600 km by walking (see google map).
In case you Dont insist for Jaipur and Delhi, u can
- take NH 8 from Borivili to Beawar
- take Pushkar, kuchaman, Lakshmangarh, bhatinda to Amritsar
- save rush of Jaipur – Delhi and Delhi – Amritsar
, but awareness and medical , coverage will be less.

multiple ways to do it (ordered by ease of doing)
1. spread the word with your personal networks, the farther it spreads, the more chances of it being fruitful for Army
2. donate at ket.to/pedal4army – give as much as you feel is good
3. help find sponsors for backup vehicle (for safety and carrying spare cycle), or help with accommodation
4. cycle along for full or part of ride!
@Alpha.Barood wrote:that’s very sweet of you! i had started with shortest route made using Strava, but one of the main reasons to take longer route instead is for being able to interact with local people and spread the word to ensure maximum contribution towards the cause
