Deal Alert Spam :/

Last 3 days I dint received any Deal Alert notifications and today my inbox is flooding. Isn’t it spam ? 
Yeah me too, receiving all old posts, forums alerts from morning. 687 mails so far… What is this? Another feature broken.

Same here…. Disabled app notifications for a while and also removed old alerts from settings.

Disabling the alerts now is unlikely to stop the PMs/emails because the job has already been triggered. The alerts will probably stop only when some DD developer stops the faulty job/queue.
Just received acknowledgement from an admin that they have intimated the (development) team.

Yeah, I too did that and now after disabling all the 'alerts' the 'alerts (mails)' are not coming anymore.
But this is an important feature and it should work as specified.
DD break some other feature but not this one.
Update: Now they are rolling back (i.e. automatically deleting) all of the wrongly sent (and unread) deal alert PMs. Admins, thank you for cleaning up your mess. 
Sadly, no such option exists for people who subscribed for email deal alerts.
