After Maggi noodles, another product from a multi-national brand has now failed laboratory test.
A sample of Dettol soap, a brand owned by Reckitt Benckiser (India) Limited, has failed laboratory tests.
Along with Dettol soap, 10 other medicines have failed laboratory tests and a notice will soon be sent to them.
According to reports, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) collected samples from Agra in November last year and subsequently sent them for laboratory tests in Lucknow.
The report was sent to the FDA and Dettol and 10 other medicines failed the tests and were also declared sub-standard.
According to reports, the FDA collected a total of 11 samples of medicines, tinctures and Dettol soap, and all of them were found to be sub-standard.
“The wrapper of the sample of Dettol soap collected by us mentioned its weight to be 125gm,” said Agra drug inspector RC Yadav.
“However, the actual weight in our tests was 117.0470gms.
“Besides, it was bought from the shop of one Santosh Kumar Valmiki who was found to be running the shop without a licence.
“The sample of the soap was found to be sub-standard and also failed our standard laboratory tests.”

even their other bestsellers Internationally have had some problems. Analgesics and Mucinex mnstly. Even prolonged use of Strepsils is harmful. These are all cases outside India. Here clearasil veet harpic lysol durex mortein and many of their products are category leaders.

Exactly ! Indian made maggi noodles samples have passed all the food quality tests in Singapore and you would not have see this much in news. There is definitely some political mishap happening in our country. I wish Maggi speedy recovery in India ..

May be ! But I am trying to make a point ki aisi reports aane ke baad demand for his products will be on all time high. People will start disbelieving in other products after seeing bad reports one after the other and in between he will try to convince people to buy his company made Patanjali products in the name of Swadeshi products ..

By the way i had jo soap from some vvf co i bought for travelling purpose as i travel a lot and need small sized soaps often. This 75 gms weighted 69.4 gms with cover. So i for one who will buy argument by RB/dettol.
And this FDA report is about less weight and not bad quality. Remember 99.99% kitaanuon ka naash karta hai dettol. 
And this dettol ad was WORST ad during world cup cricket (though airtel papa ko khush rakho ad was as bad as this or that bajna chahiye gaana ad). So much so that it was taken off within 2 days of world cup!
