If they are having the store open, shouldn’t they be allowing to purchase anything that is available? People might even need the non-essential things.

Imagine somebody has to buy apparels, they will complain that we cant try them and buy in 15mins along with grocery, please extend the time. Then people who actually need essentials will have to wait for another day.

They are allowing groceries because that is people’s priority right now. Also grocery me people wont be much choosy or take time compared to other items.

I think everyone would be having sufficient apparels for 21 days, Most of Indians follow the concept : Badi behen ke kapde chotte ho gaye toh chotti pehen legi and same goes with all.

So..how can one go to the Dmart store even if one get a token?
The store is almost 7kms from where i live…even if you assume that it is only for the ones living close-by, there will be at least 100 people (based on my experience with Dmart, Sidhhapura) to enter the store or get a token or someone who is trying to get stuff regardless of anything?
What PM said is best for the current situation, but where are the deliveries happening considering the delivery guys are also panicking? How effective the deliveries will be even if they start doing it? Assuming that at least 10-30% opt for such online deliveries for essential stuff per day (in a locality)..wont that defy the entire purpose of curfew/lockdown (the innumerable no. of delivery guys on streets?)

I think you have to go to the store to get the token itself. Ideally, people who only need stuff urgently should go. Hence, posted it only for those who need. Also, dmart deliveries are stopped. They are only giving till pickup points which also has slots for collection and there are no slots available till 31st March, so no scope of ordering online right now. The existing orders are also giving delayed deliveries.
It is good for places where even grocery stores are shut.

:/
You have had any cough/cold or fever?
Many health agencies put up a statement that there is no scientific proof that masks will help u from getting infected but it is good to use them (optional)

Thats not true actually. Health officials here and abroad have been misleading public on this intentionally so that people don’t panic buy the entire stocks of masks. There isn’t any supply to cover everyone anyway. Neither are manufacturing facilities.
So it’s a “necessary evil” thing.
There are several studies done on sars virus strain and masks incluy n96 and surgical ones are both pretty effective.
Do use them if you can get your hands on one and when you go out.

At least they need to make it clear..if they’re expecting something to be followed seriously :/
I’m seeing the same “Optional” thing everywhere..I’ve been to Apollo n Fortis hospital yesterday to enquire something..even there there are many roaming around without masks
Even my sister just called me asking if we can order surgical masks anywhere online as they’re being stopped from entering groceries stores or even when they just go outside to get stuff like milk n water

Thats the thing. They can’t tell it as it is. If they say masks protect then people will flood the medical stores, online stores and then stocks and supply chains will get blown out. Neither are there any manufacturing capacity that can fill that kind of demand.
So they are lying as it’s convenient and leaves stocks for medical staff.
You should definitely get some if they are available in your city.
Ignore what they are saying.
Protect yourself since you are in a metropolitan. Highly densely populated cities are at highest risk.
