Do domestic airlines allow minor name corrections?

Contact Indigo customer care to see if they will reissue the ticket.

@Kakinada while traveling i hv never seen thm checking minor name or verification till 2yr or so. but u can certainly inform nd travel they shud allow if its just a letter in name. dont know of complete name change due to security reason. .

OP apart from metros they never care for minor name only the ticket. If it is metro then they allow unless it is not some 15th aug or high security alert. If you had the birth certificate then Photoshop the name same as ticket and keep the Xerox copy if required though it will have very least likelihood.

Well spicejet did a name change for me once but indigo denied. You can inform the boarding pass issuing official in the airport and they sometimes allow when the reason seems to be genuine (unofficialy) .

Edit : Outside the Ranchi airport there are people who even make nakli id card for such issues facing travelers. One co-passenger used such service too.

cmon .. y do this r u giving ideas to ppl for wrngdoing. though ppl around do more shitty stuff and arrangments then u telling, but y give support to that. OP pl. do the right thing if its just a letter go thr and inform the typo or if its big pl. inform the airlines. @Utsav ab ranchi se hi le lenge terrorist agli flight … kuch bi bakwaas kyu karte ho… do u support that yaar.

I am not suggesting him rather i am informing him about all the wrong doing outside the airport.

Always try to look both side of the coin.

Be on right side… inform the Airline..they will say only option is rebook…canel the tickets and again book with correct options.

Indigo will change it for sure
Have faced issues and got it sorted easily .
Don’t cancel and rebook
Eg Dhawal and Dhaval
Have got such error easily rectified by indigo

changed with indigo once.. they changed within a minute !

@Kakinada 1 month before i had done same mistake of typing last name shatna in case of sharma and also did webcheckin but i realise 5 hrs before boarding then i called indigo cc then he transfered call to their senior and he cancelled my boarding and issue new pnr the again i did webcheckin and my mom travelled so don"t worry call indigo cc

But looks like many people managed to change the name i.e. minor correction.

I contacted yatra, but their answer: Name change NOT allowed under any circumstances. Period. But I would try with Indigo cc. Looks like many dimers here managed to change name. And yes, for me also only it was a minor correction of first name.

Only entering airport is the problem. They may make a fuss but will allow you inside. Indigo people will help you inside. I am assuming its one or two letters correction.

First few comments seems to understood minor as minor passenger ’s name correction instead of minor=small.
