i think coolpad (by videocon) started making phones in india ,
earlier they were totally made in china , as of now it is importing few equipments from china and making rest parts in india and assembling in india . and as per their statement they will make it completely in india in future . Eg – Coolpad Mega 2.5D .

under make in india programme , it it went successfully then we can see many items as made in india totally .

still there is no harm if we use any item which is of reputed company of any other country and quality is solid , bcoz all companies just make them there bcoz it is cheapest option , it do not mean that they use totally chinese technology . and if china do shits then those companies will shift their offices from there which will be a big regression time for china (less funding + unemployment in largest population country) .

the folks behind Asustek were actually Acer employees and senior engineers !

so much so that eventually Acer bosses were aware of it when Asustek started its humble beginnings.
