in this method, after entering fastboot boot prestoroot.img
the screen says, “waiting for device”
and then nothing happening!

Rooted 2 pantech burst in 2 days and 2 mins….

mine pantech taken 2 days after that I was able to know how to root!
And I rooted My friends pantech in 2 Mins, AS I NOTED

I am facing the same problem while rooting which you faced. After phone goes to fastboot mode, device isn’t recognised by windows and that’s where the problem is. Please guide.

Assuming you are using windows this happens when driver is not loaded properly.

All you have todo is

Right click on My computer and Hit Manage

Go to Device Manager

Look out for ?? devices, Mostly you have the phone listed some were with an amber/?

right click on the device and update driver.

Browse and point it to where u installed pc suit.

if that wont pick a driver, then say i will pick driver and select the andriod device on the list

m nt techi…& this rooting thing seemd vry complicatd so i simply updated android frm official site..

Also theres enough memory in cell to let AT&T files be there

Just see video & its going to be very easy

Hello Friends,

Could any of you please help me with installing an app on this phone.
P.S. i have not rooted the phone and have received it with Gingerbread 2.3.5

Please let me also know if rooting is necessary for installing apps downloaded from the PC and not from the playstore
