Fed up with Electricity Bill

Everytime ny electricity bill is wrongly generated and i have to approach electricity office 5-6 times to get it correct EVERYTIME.
Totally fed up with this.
This time i got a 20k bill, actual should be around 7k (2 months).
Electricity provider- UHBVN
Is it happening only with me or anyone else facing the same.
Please provide a permanent solution, if any.
Ps: Got my meter changed 2-3 times but still facing problem

That’s not cheap and it requires a pretty good amount as initial cost.

Even if he does that he will still need an electricity connection as a backup for rainy and cloudy days.

I can’t help much. I have no idea about this.

@lazyboii Maybe talk to a relative or a friend who is in electricity department. If nothing works then you can try surrendering your existing connection and get a new one.

Which type?
Its a digital meter i guess because reading is digitally shown. I dont know of there are other types of meters too sweat_smile

The answer might sound silly but your ground is open. Digital meters log consumption even when the electricity passes through earthing.

Solution:

  • Change wire from meter to home with a 4mm² branded wire.
  • Add an additional meter (costs just 250-500 bucks) before it connects to your house mains box. To find difference between both.
  • get a good electrician to inspect all your boards in each room. Isolate them and verify how much current passes for each room.

The electricity guys will change meter 2-3 time but after that additional charge will be applicable. The fault lies in your house (or neighbours stealing) no matter how often you change just the meter the problem will continue.

@lazyboii If you are sure enough that these instances are faults committed by this government owned electricity company on bill generation, better file a full fledged online complaint narrating your experience of every instance in full detail with bill proofs and your visits to the office of the company,if any on https://pgportal.g...n/ ……………… For sure a resolution will be put up in place within 15-21 days (my estimate) and this time this government company will follow you for causing inconvenience.
