Flipkart gv expired during return. Need help and suggestions

Hey, i had some 800 Rs worth flipkart gv expiring on 6th april. I ordered a pair of fila shoes worth 1800. Got the shoes but feels either fake or 2nd quality to me. When contacted flipkart for a refund,they state that u will get ur Credit card amount back but GV stands cancelled as its put of date.
Any suggestions friends or anyone faced a similar situation.
Plz help. 800 rs at stake.

ask them to refund to GV and extend its expiry date… thats what they do normally.. who told you that it cant be refunded to GV as it has expired? call them and say that its not your mistake due to which you are returning the product back, so they will refund/issue a new GV..
i have previoulsy used this trick to order something from flipkart and then cancel it, so that the GV expiry date is extended.. and it worked fine.. ofcourse i did this a year back.. not sure if they have changed t&c now..
They can extent the date for 1day provided that you give then all details like your email I’d on which you received you gift card and other details
Dnt be too late call them now
Ask them to issue new gv to the extent of refund , simple. In case u have paid amount after using gv balance, since order is returned u would get any paid in total back as credit or refund, so no need to worry. 
Be in touch with cc and all will be sorted

Tried these ways though. No success still. Tweeted a pic to thier account. Lets see.
Got a call from them in response to tweet. The guy said he wud provide a resolution in 24 hrs.
Told him clearly the product is either a sub standard one or fake.
Lets see what is the resolution they provide.
Update: got a call from them yesterday evening. Finally agreed to refund.
So they will finally pickup the fake piece and refund me the voucher and the credit card amount.
