Flipkart - Indian Fraud as usual

Kuchh nahi buddy, Flipkart is failing to Amazon

did you or someone close to you lose their job in this mass-firing ?

Yes.. FK finished. Now they go for any extent (may be we can say cheating/fraud or what ever u name) in the name of cost cutting or saving company from losses.

If you are 100% sure that the laid off ones aren’t under performers then i would completely agree with you
Flipkart is losing its market to market and they got to do some cost cutting measures and i dont see anything wrong here. And there’s no job guarantee with any of these flipkart/amazon jobs AFAIK and that would be clearly mentioned in whatever agreement these companies propose

Recently i have been to Flipkart office in bangalore and had a chat with one of their executive and got to know that flipkart is no longer hiring new employees may be from more than a year or so (CC executives are an exception).

When peppertap closed down their operations everyone here were commenting about their blunder with the referral system, no one cared about whats going to happen with their employees now everyone is talking about FK’s 2-3% employees who got laid off

I was part of top 5 indian companies executives , seen all that “gandagi” happen inside meeting rooms and decisions are taken which not even touch reality. was not able to sell myself to it. After seeing that I lowered my level to be back to normal human.

Flipkart only said that these same 1000 people were not under performers exactly 1 year ago and also not 2 years ago. and if you are firing then say openly that it is firing, why to lie.

I agree with Peppertap because that IIM fraud did the same. Unfortunately I was not able to use that referral. infact it is that fraud which looted money from me.

yeah, some might have to suffer for some months to find it and some might have to accept less salaries. hope they all will get some jobs soon.

Assuming I was well off, and had hired 3 employees for the upkeep of my house… And by the twist of fate, I fall on hard times,
- Should I continue to employ all of them, knowing fully well, that I would not be able to pay them all, down the line?

OP has failed to understand that if ur in private sector u NEED to DEAL with these situation if not then GO for any GOVT job for that matter n i believe its NOT FRAUD have FK guarantee any LIFETIME earnings???

correct, you can fire them stating your condition is not good to keep them. this is right way.

but if you call them seperately into room and blackmail them saying you not have to come tomorrow else I will file FIR that you stolen my bed.

you dont clean house properly but I am gadhe ki aulad who didnt seen in 4 years that you dont clean properly. then do you think you will come out of that room with intact body parts ?

Agree with OP..in absence of strict employment laws,Indian companies are not transparent and take employees for ride.

U mean flipkart has 50000 plus employee?? 2 percent means 1000 employees..u r figure seems wrong.

They have fired 10/percent or more

as per wiki they are 35k+

I understand how it feels if one gets fired,but they still provide employment to lot of ppl and that is v imp for the country with such an high population
Most of the startup will fail but they still go appreciable job in training and generating employment

We need to work on our selves to cope up with high comptetion, i knw it feels bad but such an attitude nvr help.

@…A… Calm down bro, A day will come to everyone, if you are working in private sector….. nothg is permanent in life… only answer left with all companies is “we are removing underperformers” even tcs, ibm, wipro etc etc are removing all 6 to 12 yrs exp guys… they can hire a fresher and ask them to work.. same process again .. main aim of company is to cut short some employees and save some bucks… if u want to be safer side, do some bucketing, chamcha work with manager accept what ever u get and move on ….
