Flood affected states need our help. Please donate.
The states of Karnataka, Maharashtra & Kerala are experiencing severe flood with relentless rains. Even though the rains have reduced & water level is gradually coming down, life of the affected is horrible to say the least. Thousands of people have lost their houses, hundreds have lost their lives. Situation at the ground level is horrifying. It is the time to rebuild their lives.
Even though the respective state Govts are working hard, it’s the responsibility of us to help them.
A kind request to be generous & donate for the cause.
We can donate easily via apps like PhonePe, Amazon, Paytm etc.
Account details can be found in first comment of this thread.
PS: I am aware that this is not the right section & request admin Nigel to keep it here for sometime. Thanks!
PSS: Hats off to NDRF guys
Update: Attaching some pics (of Karnataka).

A very good thought…. I fully support it and have personally done such donations multiple times in the past
But one question to which I may request answer… does these donations actually reach those people who really need. What I have seen and heard, people who are suffering really don’t receive much help.
So where do these donations go? I presume the middlemen involved, eat everything while the person in need hardly get any help.
To me it’s like a big SCAM.
Everyone’s views are welcome, and may be it might help me change my opinion about this.
Me and my friends have collected money and sent directly to to our friends back home who are working really hard for providing food, water, basic medicines, daily essentials like bedsheets, towels etc. They are working at ground level & are the good souls whom I trust and respect.
Those people who don’t have access to such souls can directly donate via above said method.
These donations will go directly to the Govts, so no question of middlemen! Yeah, I also agree that they won’t spend all this amount & may keep some of it for the future. I can definitely hope that this won’t be waste. Thank you.
Indeed we should contribute whatever we can. I always pay according to my capacity but aprt from this we should also spread a movement to center government to help their state with full requirement instead let state beg and borrow from others. Spending money on statues, lighting, making every new announcement with huge expenses should be avoid and diverted to states in need.
It all should be done when we have no one depended on donations.
Ps: not a desh drohi.
Thank you dimers ❤️from kerala
It’s a scam by biscuit companies.
Their sell hike by 60% since flood.
But still not decreased the rate
Those who are asking for help in name of flood affect. Pls beware. They are parle executive. They will force to by parle biscuits
Bro, they are not in need of only biscuits. They have lost their lovely homes, family members, valuables and what not. There is a need to rebuild their lives & not just their hunger by biscuits.
PS: I belong to the district which is badly affected by the flood.

Everytime they need help. flood, tsunami, drought, etc. Look we can just help for once or twice. Every year is happening the same, repeating but government is unknown to that. If government can’t stop unnatural events then atleast plan for the sufferings. Well Government is now feeling that common people are paying donation then why to worry. Stop donating over this flood, drought, etc. Let the government of that state look into this. if you’re eagerly in need to donate then donate to the family of soldiers, they are truly in need of your help.
These are the people who never gave water for us when our farmers where struggling to get hardly any water.
