FM to address media on economic package

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to address the media at 4 pm today on the Rs 20 lakh crore economic package announced by PM Modi last night. Equity benchmark indices traded higher today after the announcement. The package amounts to 10 per cent of the GDP and will attempt to alleviate the financial pain caused by COVID-19.

FM to address another presser at 4 pm today
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will address a press conference today at 4 pm. Yesterday, Sitharaman spoke of 15 odd measures during her presser with a focus on micro, small and medium enterprises, non-bank finance companies and the power sector. This is in keeping with the PM’s call of ‘Make in India’ and going local.
