MUMBAI (Reuters) – Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday doubled the balance that can be kept in prepaid wallets and cards to 20,000 rupees ($292) to help small merchants get paid electronically after the government withdrew high value bills.
The Reserve Bank of India also said merchants can transfer up to 50,000 rupees per month from these so-called semi-closed prepaid payment instruments to their bank accounts.
The relaxation will be applicable until Dec. 30, the RBI said.
Indian businesses have been badly hit with buyers and sellers left with very little cash following the demonetisation.

I can see more than 20k 
freecharge blocks accounts even at 10k so whats the user other than for merchants.
+1, actually they are not blocking completely.. we cant transfer money for 30days 
8k was stucked.. but we can use that amount for recharges or buying vouchers from 3rd party websites
Freecharge, Mobikwik are risky these days
After how many days can we transfer money to Bank ?

Note: This is supposed to be a temporary change till Dec 30, but RBI might extend it.

why you guys are getting so much problem, just deposit that money in your account and use that bloody card and bank are also providing changes or you can withdraw amount from there. Petrol pumps and bigbazaar are also exchanging 2000 rs by just swiping cards. keep it simple, and now even surge charges are also waived from everywhere.

No brother from today ₹500-1000 is not a legal tender…..
we can deposit the money in bank accounts till 30 december and issue cheques make online payment

plz explain if that means we can use freecharge go cards even if account is temporarily blocked
we cant use virtual card.. but we can use that bal for recharges and we can pay to merchants with freecharge balance

How to transfer money in paytm to bank ?
Their is no option showing in paytm only send to mobile and other option.
Download wallet app from playstore login with ur paytm user id and password, u will see the option. There is another way to do that, just open paytm app and after that click on the passbook option, u will found an option for transfer money to bank.
paytm wallet app is no longer listed in playstore 
Mobikwik has also finally increased the non-KYC wallet limit to 20K.
But you can download that from other third party websites, or you can use the paytm app and after go to the passbook option, there you will get option to transfer money to bank.
