funny incident - suggestion needed

I placed an order on shop.adidas.co.in about one year ago and had to immediately return the product due to size issues. Even after numerous emails the site never refunded my money but i kept sending them emails after about every 2 months or so.
Recently I placed an order on myntra.com and then submitted an exchange request for a different size. I was waiting for reverse pickup along with new size being delivered. I was out of town for two days so I informed my mom that you have to handover this parcel to courier guy who comes for pickup. When I returned home my mom told me that courier guy took the parcel and handed over the receipt. I didn’t check the receipt since it’s a common practice at my home with atleast 3-4 online orders every month.
Today suddenly I got a reply from shop adidas that they will refund my money as soon as the order is received back at their end. I politely replied to them that the order was placed and returned almost one year ago.
After sending the email my mind smelled something fishy. So I noted down one year old order number and checked the receipt my mom gave me. And voila the number was same. So that’s the case. My myntra order which was to be exchanged to a different size has been reverse picked up by shop adidas.
Now most probably myntra guy will come tomorrow asking to give the shoe (which I currently don’t have). Also shop adidas guys will be puzzled to see a packed myntra box as a returned item. What to do now? How to get refund from adidas and get the size changed at myntra too?

Hi @prafull, Wait till you hear from Adidas. By that time you can improve a lot in your writing skills, I mean keep sending numerous mails for another year 
or rush to your nearest adidas store.

now that you have shared your predicament, i am not sure whether to be blunt, vaguely sarcastic/satirical (Plato and others already beat us to it) or to be sorry.

but seriously,
in hindsight, how difficult is it to mark the items distinctly and have a whiteboard note or mental note/verbal instruction clearly communicated to those who are on-premises ?
a simple: Maa/Paa: box marked ‘one’ or ‘myntra wapas’ is to be handed to Mr. XYZ who’ll be coming from ABC limited (courier).
humph! anyway its not much use in the present context.
so you now need to speak with Myntra escalations people first (and mostly kiss the exchange goodbye). to stop the reverse pick-up.
take the similar rout at Adi Dasmunshi and see if their horrendous delay can be a bargaining chip for you to somehow get them to return the wrong item.
can you get in touch with the station in-charge of the carrier that picked the shipment and check where it is? and informally request a recall from your end ?
adding to what Plato and others said, try scripting your ‘not so’ funny (rather outright careless, stupid) incident and see if you can recover the monies by selling the script to RGV, Anurag Kashyap etcetera.

after 2014 i practically realised all these apparel site wallah (especially NuvoEx courier for all Gurgaon ecom sites like Paytm, Snapdeal) people insist on ‘inspecting’ the items and thus packing it or sealing the items is avoidable.
though I stopped using Myntra, I think most big marketplaces always instruct their associates to minutely match the item (price, code) and even the original packing/bill sticker to verify that the stock is indeed the same.
