Gaana subscription auto renewed. Any way to cancel?

I had used Gaana trial code from Paytm for 3 months. Last night the subscription auto-renewed and charged my credit card for ₹399. The shady thing is before subscription ended, it was showing auto renewal as OFF, so I did not think I needed to cancel it. I asked customer care to cancel and refund amount but they are refusing to do so.
Any way to get my money back?

In my case auto renewal was off. Once subscription ended, Gaana app was bugging me to renew by paying 399 rs but I choose to ignore. After couple of days got a notification to upgrade for a year for 199 rs . Happily renewed. I use Gaana app quite a bit especially while driving .

Same here. I had disabled the auto-renewal option for my PayTM Gaana trial membership. There was a button that could be turned off to disable auto-renewal and then they ask for confirmation, etc. That was done before June 5th.
But today (June 9th), they did a forced subscription of Rs. 399 per year and is refusing to provide a refund saying “We suggest you to enjoy your current subscription as it is already credited in your account”. That’s like saying: ’we’re raping you, we suggest you to enjoy it’! The frauds!
I’ve raised complaints at the consumer forums. Rs. 399 from a 1000 people will earn them Rs. 4 Lakhs. I guess this is their new business model. A lot of people probably doesn’t put up a fight.

Do you receive the subscription payment notification 24 hrs before the gaana payment also check with the cc whether gaana created a subscription agreement if not it is against the rules you should contact the bank citing rbi rules to get the money back

I always disable the standing instruction from credit card after subscribing any plan, if I don't wish to continue / renew.
