After the announcement of lockdown, people in huge numbers have come out to buy medicines (which probably won’t be of any use to them right now)
This panic is more dangerous than the virus……
In my area, people have come out like there is no tomorrow.
In fact there are more people on road than a regular Day
I have no rice for after 10 days, no junk food, not much groceries which will last for more than a week, no meds for dad for more than 2 weeks. And I am definitely NOT going out.
Screw stupid, retarded people who wanna kill and kill others now in all stores.
Same every where
All stores empty everywhere
No clarity on what all will continue as usual, hence the rush
All details will come if retards stopped and thought for a bit.
This is normal routine procedure all over the world.
But no, they have to jump out and rush to every store and touch everything and everyone.
People are queueing medical stores, if one infected person comes there, I am sure 1000 positive cases will come in my area itself
We have to suffer from this there’s no another way to fight until there is vaccine or treatment. And don’t even think about closing emergency and daily needs.
Don’t blame people you’ll also do same If things are not cleared.
This is not Sudan or Syria, FCI has godowns overflowing with wheat & rice so much that lakhs of ton rot every year. In worst case scenario a govt vehicle can be just loaded with wheat flour/rice & packets can be picked up at each door or dropped from sky. This is more than enough to survive comfortably for few weeks & this is the absolutely worst case scenario. People should think logically,if food is there & infrastructure is there(aka roads not destroyed by floods or earthquakes) & vehicles are there then what makes them think things cannot be delivered to people under any circumstances.
people don’t trust govt that’s why..
grocery wala ko v pel raha hey…

Stop judging people!
Groceries are optional but not medicines
You can live with just one ingredient for a month
Among those who are rushing to hospitals/medical shops, there will be many people with pre-exisiting illness which requires months/years of usage..and things get worse even if you stop medication for a day or two.
If things get worse..who will treat them? You will send aid?
Medical shops will probably be allowed to be open. It comes under health.
Stupid people… They should learn from pros.
We have done that 10 days ago…
Also bought 2-3 month stock of meds which my parents usually take… diabetes and blood pressure.
As every medicine is not just sold by medical their are godowns from where medicine comes and 1 mg , netmeds and many more have connection with them atleast they should be allowed to work for 2 days a week
21 days complete lock down is not a joke, for the first time it was told to store some food items (not in large quantities) now its lock down for 21 days, so whoever has low grocery will Rush to shop like anything as this decision taken suddenly.
God, please let people know (who are going outside ) that cops are humans too and they have families to take care.
Don’t complain people who go out alone to buy groceries, they can stock items for 2 or 3 weeks, even if they get infected, there is enough time to show symptoms and get quarantined. But doing so everyday again is not gonna help.
I went out for veggies, alone.
But there were families 2+ ppl to buy groc and vegs. Stupid people.
They need 2/3 extra members na to carry 2/3 carton full of groceries
Was at more supermarket in the afternoon, its taking 10+ minutes to bill one person
Same situation over here. At least 100-150 people were there waiting in lines to buy groceries, stationery and medicines. Had to stand with them for long hours to get my stuffs. This is panic buying obviously, which is highly condemnable. But the lock down will continue for 21 days, what to do if from tomorrow essentials go out of stock. If corona doesn’t kill then famine will. Noticed the same trend as ever with this country, those who come from a first class family were buying items in significantly less numbers than those trash who were buying tons of stuffs which can’t even be carried properly. In these dire situations, the picture of our classless society is reflected vividly.
Man this is crazy. People will get infected this way. Even if you have grocery/meds for a week, it’s enough for now. It’s better to wait than go out and get infected.
scene after announcement, virus has found many new homes, idiots to the core…….
Give credits to the big man! People are not smart always…but the one manages them should be
Announcing 21day lockdown with just 4 hours to spare..what else those poor anxious souls will do? (worse than last time when they had 1 day at least for that)
Op should change the title
8th November, 2016
🔸Queues in ATMs / Banks
24th March, 2020
🔸Queues in Groceries / Pharmacies
Both very badly managed. Both counterproductive.
Prime Minister needs better strategy than these 8 PM ‘Address to the Nation’, which are resulting in panic, confusion & even deaths.
the problem is with implementation. the decision of lockdown is very good and what is necessary. but the way it is implemented is what has created the panic. if it was implemented with 24 hrs notice, then people would not be in such a rush. but it was implemented in DeMo style, coming at 8 PM and implementing from midnight. they stopped domestic flights with 36 hrs notice. why could not have lockdown started with 24 hrs notice.
Even if you give them a days notice, people will immediately queue up. Remember this is the country where if people know petrol price increase by just 1 rs they queue up in petrol bunk. Like,, what are you going to even save ? 15rs max ? Why all that hassle. Unless you fill a shit ton of petrol it doesn’t make sense.
Bro here in easyday club most groceries are out of stock no dal, rice and atta left no cereals left no lays and Maggi left no tea left only things you can get there were some chocolates biscuits and Fanta sprite even coca cola is oos even soaps and cleaning stuff we’re 80% oos and our local kirana store is looting people by selling dal at 200 rs kg saying that there is no guarantee that you will get this again
But we are honestly way better than USA. There people were almost killing each other for Fucking Toilet papers.
Though I agree it was too little time given, people were idiots. I started to stockpile slowly from Second week of Feb knowing fully well what might be in store ( though a month lockdown isn’t what I expected). I have enough groceries for 2 months , same with meds, baby essentials etc.
I will wait till 2 weeks and then I replenish whatever was consumed so far. It also helps me being paranoid a little.
When I started wearing masks the moment first case reported in Intel office Bangalore my colleagues were making fun of me. Then when I said we should shut down malls , theatres , i.e. a soft lockdown they thought I was crazy. LoL. I can not wait to see their faces after a month and tell them “I told you so”
4hrs notice or 1day notice, when u r calling nationwide lockdown ppl are bound to panic. Assurance for all essential things and directives to authorities to ensure it should have been primary focus of that speech. Maha minister announced in the afternoon that state has 6 months ration something similar should have been told.
Come on we can’t blame pm for sudden lockdown.
It is a bold and welcomed decision to announce lockdown. The Economy is going to bleed due to lockdown, but PM wanted to save people more than the economy.
Jaan hai to Jahan hai !!!
Ya India is very grateful to have such a bold prime minister. He managed to do many things that leaders before him were even afraid to think of.
Government’s directive is not good don’t blame such people who are in line. Blame the fake democracy ruler of any party who can do anything overnight you can’t even think. They will always tell half statement don’t give full . If Govt can announce 21 days in home than they can also announce Food will be supplied by government respective executive. Don’t panic just sit in house this line will be helpful. The fake democracy. Govt want to hide real issues by silly movement. The govt is for rich not for middle class or poor.
I received call from my friends and neighbours right after he talked about the lockdown to go to buy groceries. They didn’t hear the complete thing I said essential services will be open but still they left. I don’t know what they have done if they had some time.
modi said that all essential services/shops will work
but people panicked because even if someone is going out for these essential services police is beating them
yesterday I saw police beating people buying vegetables infront of my house
People are acting like normal.
I was shocked to see images of people buying in market like nothing has happened.
This was the queue for flour after the announcement near a friend’s house.
Lockdown kiya – blame Modi
Virus transmitted due to panic buying – blame Modi
If no lockdown then also virus transmitted – blame Modi
People just want a name to put all the blame.
P.s I am not Modi Bhakt
Lockdown kiya – blame Modi
Who announced it??
Virus transmitted due to panic buying – blame Modi
Who is responsible the action causing the entire country to shutdown?
If no lockdown then also virus transmitted – blame Modi
Ofc..the delay in action is the reason for havoc right now
People just want a name to put all the blame.
Again..don’t blame people!
Modi had been the face at least for the past week or so
So you see any other govt official making public statements? either it be the state of action that needs to be taken or the current situation of the virus?
If people (Bhakts n Non-Bhakts), that any advise/suggestion/request from the PM can make an impact because of his huge following…so why is so hard for people if people blame the face* of action?
Somehow i started feeling like..people need people to divert the blame from their non-factual beliefs
I have seen many replies about locking down the country without advance notice.
If there was any advance notice, people would have moved to other cities/home towns and spread the virus entire country.
In Italy, many people moved to their home towns with in couple of hours of shutdown of few cities and they only spread the virus in entire Italy.
#ShoppingInTheTimeOfCorona
dmart mumbai suburbs side huge lines noticed
Guess..the roads to these big supermarkets needs to be blocked as @Wontdisplaymyname was saying..the only way to get tokens for 15min shopping is to visit the store and get them
Even if they start issuing tokens online…i guess there will still be people outside the stores in huge numbers
There might be cases of hoarding yesterday..but if people are going out even now after a lot of legal action warnings..then they’re really desperate
People are stupid can’t do anything about them they won’t understand
