It might sound funny but i want to know what you guys use to get rid of those annoying mosquitoes. What you guys use apart from coil and those liquid machines like all-out etc.
mosquito net.
Clumsy but nothing better than this.
For closed spaces,
Open the full wood door at dawn while keeping the iron net door closed. After some time some of rooms’ mosquito will collect on the inside of iron net door. Mosquito will go out, when you will open iron net door.

Good night flash card.. & also good night machine ( buy new machine always after 2months )
You mean only refill and not whole machine right?
tried good night machines but no use. Mosquitoes at present have become immune to all the repellent liquid
Working fine for us. Using that in every room of house. It will take at least 10 to 30 minutes to spread in whole room.(depends on room size) It doesn’t kill all mosquitoes but I observed that either mosquitoes leave that room or they hide in a corner where smell of repellent liquid is very less.
I use machines like good knight advanced, allout ultra with 3 modes etc. Normal machines are very slow and take more time to get hot.
Good Knight Advanced Fast Card is also very good to get instant rid from mosquitoes. http://www.goodknight.in/products/in-home-non-e...
P.S. I always prefer goodknight or Maxo as they are Indian brands.
My school age experiments :
What I used to do was after use the blue mat used to turn faded or white, then I used to burn that & it’s smoke was most effective, that time these repellent were not that famous or available.
I could see mosquitoes falling after dying due to this smoke.
Ps : @rajrocks I meant blue mat & not @blue wine

You can try it if you are not allergic to smoke. In the villages, people burn the leaves of a certain plant to drive mosquitoes away. It produces a lot of smoke but the air gets clear in a while. No idea about coconut shell fibres though.

For better results you can also add neem leaves.

There is nothing there to laugh, it doesn’t produce pollution, its just natural smoke and it is harmless.

Any object not burnt completely gives CO (Carbon Monoxide) which is toxic. Elementary Chemistry bro! No Offence I just said what appeared logial to me and Sorry in advance you need to improve your sense of humour

you are really very kitabhi person (book worm).
Any way’s i don’t want to argue with you anymore. When a person can’t differentiate between smoke created by vehicles or burning of plastic and smoke created burning coconut fiber.

Argue would be when you could highlight where I am wrong. Differentiate based on what, simply because one is natural burning and man-made burning Don’t know how to differentiate, if you could explain that would be good for both you and me. Or maybe it’s there in the links.
Kitabhi person?! What is that supposed to mean, I just stated what I know maybe wrong, correct me with some backed by facts not by simply ridiculing and saying don’t want to argue further matlab kuch bhi, samaan khareedte waqt agar Pros Cons karte ho toh yahaan kyun nahi..

actually burning coconut mesh is a traditional method. I am from Assam. Here almost every people use to do that even in the city. You will find one powder like thing in market which when added to the burning coconut mesh, produce more smoke and also make its smell pleasant . it might cause pollution but not that much as a little amount of coconut mesh are burnt at a time.
Anything which isn’t completely oxidised will make smoke. This smoke will have PM 2.5 particles or at least PM 10 particles. It will harm your body, but you won’t feel any effect in short term or if inhaled in less quantity. Case closed.

If you are looking for a natural mosquito/insect repellent then goto the local grocery shop or ‘mandi’ and look for ‘Citronella’ incense sticks. If you are not comfortable with smoke buy Citronella oil online and use it with a essential oil diffuser.

P.S: You can plant a citronella plant in a vase too and keep on the windows. The smell of the plant is like kerosene oil.
thanks bro. Will have to try citronella incense sticks..

Can’t believe this….and I thought I was the one who had invented this technique
Take water in a small bowl and add few drops of camphor oil. Just keeping that bowl in the room repels mosquitoes. Works best for small rooms or closed big rooms. You can also add powdered camphor but oil works best. This oil you can buy on ebay or ayurvedic stores.
Another method is to dip incense stick in neem oil and burn it. I haven’t tried this but heard it also works well.
Any new tricks??
Mosquitos in Mumbai aren’t afraid of good knight and all out. They sit n enjoy on those machines
