my requirements
* can afford joining fees upto 1000 for first year, it will become LTF anyways after fee transaction
* i will buy 2-3k Amazon gv per month
* 2k other expenses on recharge,dth
fuel surcharge waiver doesn't matter i don't use cc on petrol pump
don't book hotels or flight ticket so this is important factor while redeeming points
hdfc cards have limited Cashback per month also in various Spends
so what variant will be most rewarding for me
i have looked up dinner rewardz, regalia first, freedom, Bharat, millennia
can't decide kindly help

Diner and regalia RP cannot be redeemed for cash.
I dont have any idea about freedom.
Bharat’s RP can be redeemed for cash but i think the redemption can be done after earning 3000 RP which would be really hard considering your spends.
Millennia has good cb rates but you need to do minimum ₹2k txn to get any cb.
With spending of just 5k per month i don’t think there is any good option available for you in hdfc especially from the rewards point of view.
I think icici apay card would be much better choice for your needs.
Diners RP can be redeemed for Cash 50% value
Just for 5k monthly expense, better to get any entry level credit card from HDFC. Millennia should suit you.

Regalia’s default reward rate is 1.3% which you can use for buying flights and hotels on SmartBuy. If you want to redeem rewards for cash, the rate reduces to 0.65%. However the best way to use HDFC Regalia on Amazon and Flipkart is Smartbuy 10X offer where reward rate goes as high as 13%.

I was also offered hdfc Regalia first & Millinnia card. May be Diners also…
Now confused which one to choose from. Already have amex mrcc, yes prosperity edge.
Somehow i m not getting icici amazonpay due to technical problem.
Was thinking about flipkart axis & now any of above hdfc card…
This 10 times RP offer is always there or some time only? With Regalia first, diners rewards, cm redeemption rate is how much? Apart from hotels, flights, what can we redeem for?

with regalia and regalia first there is spearate reward catalog Google it.
these are all high end cards only suitable for those who Spend a lakh a month.
i will take bharat card as this is free
and no compulsion whatsoever.

Hdfc guy telling me that I need to do 4 transaction per month worth 500rs. For first 3 months to get LTF card. Is it true? Do they give it in writing? Looks weird…
If you register for smartpay your card will be LTF, its what they told me.
@rogerthat don’t go for Millinnia unless u use it heavily. They have smartly put t&c in this cards.
Minimum redemption at 2500rs. & there after in multiple of 500rs.

Does it mandatory to have bank account in hdfc bank to get regalia card? Cc is insisting me for Millinnia or regalia first.
I asked for Regalia on C2C basis. She told me that for that I must have account in hdfc bank & they won’t provide it LTF.
Even I was told the same when I tried to upgrade my regalia first to regalia through the branch. But it’s all nonsense they are saying just to get an account opened. I later sent the upgrade form directly to Chennai and got the upgrade. For new application, you can try applying through payzapp. Saves you the hassle of dealing with branch people.
I would opt for dcb only, but if not dcb then regalia
If you do not get DCB, go for Diners Prestige instead of regalia. That card has better rewards and new user offers.

savings regular is showing to me.
Not a HDFC sb account user. But I have noticed the same in ICICI bank too sometimes. They show MAB 0. But don’t fall for it. They will call it system error and slap you the fine for not maintaining min balance. Better confirm it from bank executive by visiting your branch.

Did it become LTF after smartpay registration or through some other method?

no confirmation if LTF till now
CC told me if you registered smartpay via netbanking then there is no guaranty for ltf, if he (the CC) will do from their end then it will ltf….is this true ?? Any experienced person
@Simbha3 @rogerthat Did your regular a/c’s get updated to minimum 10,000 on the account details page? Mine’s still showing 0 even after 2 months
you can buy Amazon GV on HDFC smartbuy website with RP as per your CC.
