Too many job consultants now a days……
Generally they call and and fix up interviews. However, at times they even do not have complete information about the company, job profile, financial strength, team size…………………………
This is a standard line, when they open a call – hi – r u looking for job change?
They try to arrange a meeting once and at the time of meeting, employee and employer identify a communication gap…
I am waiting, when those days will come when employee will charge just to give his valuable time..

So i take atleast 10 interviews in a day….. for various positions at DD
if there is a F2F interview there is a 60% chance the person will not turn up for interview…… then should the other side also should get paid ??

Very nice, if happens then it’s Loot!
I walked-in an interview, gave OLA receipt to HR, filled a TA voucher, got cash, then sat for interview, told interviewer FY on his face, came out laughing, behind me pigs were flying, went next door Walk-in, repeated same steps. Earned 2000 by eod.

I intend those case where gaps are due to consultants, whose intention is to arrange f2f interviews any how (just to increase possibility of their candidates)

Job is exactly like arranged marriage… you have to meet many people before you say yes to one…. and cosultants are like parents…… they will keep on arranging some…. as you never know which one will click

Lol!
The candidate should also have valid experience to even negotiate. If fresher then company employer treats them as if they are the only one who don’t have time.
My Experience: There was this company where I had an interview for job opening. I had to travel 3hr one side or 45 km changing 2-3 metros. In the first visit they kept me waiting for 2hr at their office saying the interviewer was busy. When the interview started came to know he was the same person who was sitting next to a female employee for the past one hour chatting and fun. And then after the interview they again kept me waiting for another one hour and had 2 more rounds of interview. At the end of the day at around 5 pm they said they may still interview few more from various colleges and then inform. All those interviewers were aged around 25-30 and it seemed as if they were having fun taking interviews. While going out I asked the hr if there was any transportation service so that I can reach the nearest metro. She said the bus service was only for the employees. I complained to my college TPO and they said will blacklist the company for next year.
So yes if we are being called to their company there should be some compensation.

When I was fresher, I was also called by one manufacturing company.
1st Round HR – @ 10:20 am (filled up forms and reference info etc etc…).
@11:30 – she asked to take a coupon and have some food. when I denied for that, she said that its going to take long as you will have to visit our factory which is 30 Kms away
2 other candidates were there with me.
@ 12:30 – she arranged a cab for us.
@ 13:30 – we were at factory gate (to complete entry process). Then by 10 mints we were at another desk of their HR. HR was not available so he entered after an hour
@ 14:45 I got a chance to see him. Had a word with him and he asked me to meet department head and again he sent me with someone at respective department.
Now, @ 15 pm – I reached at their mktg/bd department
For around 3 hours I was waiting, that someone would call me to meet.
During evening hours, I was asked to meet department head, and that fellow said that the one who was suppose to take your interview in not in today. May be we will have to reschedule tomorrow.
I was back to my home at 9 night hours…
Overall – no result despite of spending full day.

You should never give others a chance to judge you. Instead you should first judge yourself. Think if is it worth attending that interview, is the profile suitable for you, did you get all the info including job description about the company, did you get a change to go through the company website, did you have a chance to check the Glassdoor reviews of the company done by the former employees?
The day you start doing these things you will not feel like you lost your time, energy and money while looking around for employment.
Edit: I don’t really remember how many interviews I have attended in my 6 years career. One day I lost around 1200 Rs for interviews in Bangalore itself and that pinched me alot because when there is no earning, you get to control your expenses. From that day I started choosing 2-3 out of 10 interview calls doing a proper research. Take a little more time before landing in any job because you never know that after leaving one hell you get into worse situation than the last one.
Applied at two different startups last week. In both the cases, interviewer was more interested in getting information about my company
wanted to discuss about numbers related to my current organisation

It seems recruiters are also not happy with the fake resumes, not turning up the candidates, negotiating salary and still not joining
even the employers sometimes dont elaborate correctly about the positions.
So, keep trying at your cost till u get company A, and later spending the salary of A to get B.
