My Idea sim deactivated because of non usage for three months. I had almost 300-400 balance on it. How to reactivate it. Idea customer care said they can’t reactivate it.
But as per trai rule if balance is more than 20 then number could not be deactivated.
Plz Help.
Number is not issued to any one yet. I have confirmed in idea store.

They cannot deactivate any sim like this. If you had 300-400 balance then they would have charged your sim for non usage( approx 30-40rs per month) .
They replied by mail:
Dear Customer, Greetings for the day! This is with reference to your email regarding services. We wish to inform you that services of your Idea mobile number have been permanently disconnected due to non-usage with effect. Please note that for a prepaid number to be active in our network there should be a regular usage. Services to your mobile number would be discontinued if there is no usage i.e. no Voice Calls, SMS or Data usage for a continuous period of 90 days. No refund would be given for unused talk time balance and validity of the card. Number will be non-functional post disconnection and unused balance will get forfeited.
In idea store no help they said unable to activate. We can’t activate deactivated number. You should buy new SIM of that number where you want. So rude behave by them.

Same thing happened with me last month in two AIRTEL PREPAID numbers but I send mail to them within 15 day grace period now my number is active one in prepaid and other one in postpaid. Even though i don’t have 20 rupee balance too.
I suggest you to please visit a idea store not a mini store.
I got this message from Idea for a sim from which I didn’t do outgoing call:
Apne 90 din se apna Idea mobile upyog nahi kiya hai.TRAI nirdesh anusar apke mobile a/c se Rs20 kat k mobile ki seva avdhi 30din badha di hai.Shesh bal: 103
Can they deduct 20 Rs every month like this? They claim its as per trai notification
This rule came in 2012 and you knowing it now. Yes, operators are allowed to deduct Rs.20 from your balance if you dont use it for 90 days straight. In case you dont have balance they will close the number in most cases. So better call for 10 seconds every 60 days.
The rule by TRAI is simple:
If a number is inactive for min. 60 days, operator can close it right away or give extra 30 days without any charge. Most operators give 30 days extra till 90 days. Between 60-90 days if you don’t use they can close it or take 20 if your balance is above that. Below that you lose your number. Some operators dont close even after 90 days like Airtel, Jio etc. But Idea and Voda do deduct 20 in case of non-usage. If your sim card accessing network too then it may stay alive even without usage. But no network for 90 days, it will be closed.
You may think why should you pay this? But operators have to keep number records and update it daily in order to keep number in active state. Even if sim is switched off, data regarding to number updates and network is also used when someone call you to get switch off tune. Computer system also take space to keep your data intact. So for you it may be nothing but for operator they have to do work backend. When they report customers, they keep data of inactive sims too and it takes work at their end. So this fee is nothing. You are unaware that a inactive sim gives more headache to companies than an active one.

Your IDEA SIM disconnected because IDIOTS are running IDEA. Even if your SIM gets activated just don’t go for idea, Its useless.
I am also a victim of non usage disconnection by Idea…
I saw the first company who disconnect services despite being paid by customers; Only an IDIOT can do this….!!!!

Bro that is ur decison to get prepaid or postpaid. Go to ur nearby Idea store. But they Eats balance of u not use sim and deactivates it.
