Last time when i went to allepey munnar etc i booked a cab through some tourism portal in kerala. Just post your requirements and travels ppl will quote their prices. Just whatsapp them and bargain for the cheapest price. For hotels u always have goibibo and MMT.

Wherever you go for roaming Buying package wil be just waste of money. better book hotel and hire taxi and make a good itenary.

Bangalore to Kerala. Pondicherry is nowhere near. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Go to kochi from train or flight(got flight ticket less than train https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif ) and book cab from kochi or even you can start package from there.

I got good package around 14k to cover Munnar-Thekkady-Allapey including stay around Aug time

Any contacts, and where did you find that tour operator? And how about your itinerary. Can you give more detail, how many days?

Well, I can give you advice, if you’re backpacking. Don’t have much clue on the tours.

As someone mentioned above, fly or take a train/bus to Ernakulam/cochin and start your trip from there. Munnar/Thekkady would be beautiful at this time of the year. You can also cover places like Idukki etc. Don’t opt for package.packages will always end up being much more expensive and services will likely to be below standard. Google for some taxi providers phone number in Ernakulam and bargain with them for taxi rates. As a ballpark figure, keep aside at-least 3k for a taxi per day for ~ 250 kms. Taxis in Kerala will be more expensive then other Indian cities. Do ensure that you get Air conditioned cabs.

For hotels, Book from MMT. You can also check hotel reviews on Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor reviews are more genuine than MMT. MMT has a habit of shielding poor hotel reviews.
