So we have been using a 32" LG LCD TV right since 2006, it served us really well but a white patch started appearing on the screen since the past few months. Guess it’s time to bid goodbye!

We are planning to get a 55" Full HD LED TV right now and considering either LG or Samsung or Sony only. I know that VU is very cost effective but few reviews state that though it is bang for the buck the clarity and refresh rate isn’t comparable to the best out there.

No 4K or curved LED please, out of budget.

Don’t remember the model numbers in any of the below but all of them are 2016 models

LG:
Pros:
Tougher display glass material, great viewing angles, decently good brightness and most cost effective, smooth functioning of WebOS
Cons:
WebOS has very few apps and app support might eventually die out as it is happening with Windows Mobile. Only 2 HMDI ports

Samsung:
Pros:
Kind of a balance between LG and Sony. Brightness is best of all. Viewing angles good. 3 HDMI ports.
Cons:
Runs a sluggish version of Android, sucks! Price a bit higher than LG.

Sony:
Pros:
Has the best build. 3 HDMI ports. Runs Android but smoother than on Samsung TV.
Cons:
Viewing angles worst of all the three but doesnt differ by much. Costs a bit too high.

I would like to get suggestions from someone who owns a good 55" or above LED TV.
