Hi, As the title says I am looking for a charger for my ASUS R558UR DM069D laptop. Couldn’t find it online for the exact same model.
The charger is 65W 19V 1.5A charger. I am hoping someone can help me get the charger [ASUS or other brand I don’t mind].

1.5A, is that input or output current?

It’s output.
Input voltage and current is same for everyone.

The power P in watts (W) is equal to the voltage V in volts (V) times the current I in amps (A):
P = Vl

I = 65/19
I = 3.42

https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/watt-...

There are several adapters available online which output 3.4A current with a voltage of 19v.

Yes that’s what the rating of most laptop adapter.
But the Input voltage is same for everyone in india and current draw depends on the equipment.

Can you share a picture of your adapter where input and output are mentioned?

The output is mentioned as 3.3A and voltage as 19.5V. If you multiply the two, you get approx. 65w.

There are several adapters on Amazon with 65w, 19-20v, 3.2-3.42A current. Check

Yes it’s a 65w charger.
But I was saying about input current which you were asking as here
The power is 65w. Both input and output power will be same. Here.
Input = Output power is fixed 65w
We know the voltage which is also fixed 230v.
So the input current
P÷V= 65÷230= 0.2826A
The current value will vary as per the change in input voltage.

There are components inside the adapter which regulate the output current irrespective of input voltage as long as input voltage stays within specified range.
Additionally, the output is dc while you have used ac voltage in your formula so that’s also incorrect.

First of all, thanks for the reply. I read all your replies, and yes, I guess you are right, its 1.5 A input and 3.4 A output, I just checked my charger’s adapter.
So coming back to the question where can I find a good charger that’ll work for me ?

Amazon or Flipkart.
Just search with “65w 19v adapter”
