@radhe786 You don’t need to have an account with a bank to get their Forex card. Anybody can get one. All you’d need is a copy of your passport. HDFC and ICICI are popular when it comes to Forex cards. You can perhaps get a better rate from a local travel agency. The travel agencies are authorized agents to sell Forex cards from multiple banks so you can pick and choose rather than visiting individual banks. Hope this response covers all of your questions.
Should I get a Travel Card from ‘FxKart.com’? Any idea, how their service is?

Contact VKC forex as I have had a good experience with them. They would deliver the card/currency to your home and has good support in case of issues. They issue HDFC forex card which can also be reloaded easily through HDFC account.

Yes almost all international transactions are done for a fee irrespective of the bank/agency you buy it from. Only online use is free from any kind of fee if used in the currency of the card/country.

Isn’t there any way to get over these extra charges?

A forex card is the way to go if you are travelling for a short term. I am not sure about digibank and its fees/limits, maybe someone who has used one should be able to share their digibank experience.
