For that CFA exam registration, I was not getting any Credit Card. Finally, after asking so many people, one friend’s bro gave me his credit card credentials to use.

There used to be foot note which used to say if you tick or untick your card will be auto charged for annual membership.
Its been long time though. I dint attempt CFA thereafter. I cleared FRM.

wow, a student with 4 bank accounts, banks really have made progress in customer acquisition.
anyways, CC against FD is the best option IMO (for now, until are salaried)

True!
I did have good number of bank accounts when I was a student!! (just a few years ago)
Most of the good Private Universities/Engineering now have Banks established in their premises and students are asked to make all the transactions related to college via their bank accounts.
For us access to Internet Banking was given only on special requests!
Bank & Money literacy is very important thing for todays generation.

Im from Kerala and our state is not much delevoped as yours guys . There are reasons for having these four accounts.
South Indian Bank account was opened when I was in 8th standard., account opening process was done by my school and the bank. All students get free zero balance account. Really I’m not using this bcoz it didn’t have any mobile banking or Internet banking features bcoz of student account. Just maintain it that’s all.
At the starting of college life i started Federal bank account for savings and fund transfer. Federal provides free NEFT and IMPS transfer up to 1 lakh. And the service was excellent.
ICICI account was opened through pocket wallet. The only reason for opening that account is ’getting a zero balance account in a big bank
IDBI account opened for depositing cash. Non of the other banks don’t have CDM in our area this is the only bank with CDM so just created one.
Sounds funny bt in small areas like mine people need this much accounts. No banks provides full services.
Thread is going off topic. Requesting all came back to the topic

What about SBI or SBT or any of the Public Sector Banks? Are you interested only in Private Banks?

You have already gotten the only correct (and legal) answer to your question from @A2Zdeals in the first reply itself. If you still continue to ask, a few dimers are experts in taking a discussion all over the place.
By the way, @Tejaa also had the same question until a couple of months ago. He might choose to help you with his findings.

FD will be put on Auto Renewal mode by bank. Till you want to use CC the FD will remain active. And when you want to terminate CC you can close your FD.
@cody
Bahut samajhdari ki baat bola.
Open a FD and you will easily get cc with that. Limit will be 75% amount of FD you make. Go in any bank and firstly ask them that you want to make FD, they will open your savings account and tell you to give cheque of required amount of FD you want.
Than you ask them can I get CC based on FD, they will say that limit will be only 75% of FD amount. Go Ahead

ICICI Bank Gives 85% monthly credit limit of your FD amount.
and
Axis Bank Gives 80% monthly credit limit of your FD amount.

I agreee that bt I’m looking for the best bank and its credit card with no annual charges.
From all the replies ICICI and axis are mentioned bt don’t know which one is better, and I don’t know is there any other Bank which is more better than ICICI and axis . that’s why im still Looking for replies

ICICI & Axis Bank are only two banks who is giving CC against FD.
On the other hand SBI also has but only problem is on some international sites it will not work. So what’s the use having CC.
While joining Axis Bank will charge joining fee of Rs.500+ Tax, but it will be waived off upon spending Rs.5000 in 45 days. And about annual fees you will be waived off if you spend Rs.100000/- above per year.
ICICI Bank has no joining fees or annual fees, but there is hidden term of spending quota per year, so if you cross that limit you will not get charged for annual fee.
In comparison of these both cc i find axis cc best. so i suggest u to go for axis cc.
Agar main cc leta hoon FD ke against aur FD close kar kar main CC use kar sakta noon ya nahi ??

You can go for Card against FD like ICICI AXIS etc offers
e.g.
