My OEM micro-usb cable that came with LG G2 has gone haywire two days back.So I started exploring new options online and offline for good quality cables. Here’s what I have found:
1)I went to LG service center and they were selling the cable for Rs.205 with 6 months gurantee.
2)Searched a bit on Amazon and sorted out these two options
Bandridge BCL4902:
http://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B003T...A/
Tukzer:
http://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B016...QO
Please help me choosing the best cable.I wouldn’t mind buying a 1m cable but the longer the better.
PS:It should support data transfer too.

@Sagar
>< Does the one being sold by LG ‘service centre’ suffice your needs ? (length, data transfer)
> > > any idea if it is OEM product made for LG or exactly same like the ones shipped originally with the set ?

>< I can fairly speak about the 4902 from personal experience, but not aware of the latter of the choices you mentioned.

The 4902 at around this price, ceteris paribus, is a value purchase.

Do note, that you may not always feel the need for or use it to its full length.
At such times, managing this much length is bit tacky. the cable itself does have girth and should ideally NOT be made into the typical circular bundle while storage or travel.

having said all that. I do have a set [TWO units of 4902, both from AMZ]. one of which remains unused to date.
the other one extensively used (with care) daily. Even at this moment the thing is connected to a device.

The speeds are not out of the heaven fast, but good enough

tagging @Nārāyaṇa Anna and @Tushar bhai who helped me come to some conclusion.

though I think, Tushar too (like @N sir) is busy now with better things in life.

@GCA recently did some extensive on-line search on similar things. may be you’d get better help than what I had to say.

Thanks for the tag @Spock
@sagardrokr Ideally 1m data/charging cables are capable of fast charging. More the length more the charging time. You can chose any of the 3 as per your choice

1. Storite 1m Rs.189 + Shipping
http://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B01B41RTNE/ref=mp_...
It is one of the best charging cables (@Spock knows about the brand) It comes with 1 yr warranty (Yes 1 year) from the seller Saitech IT who is one of the best online seller having its presence across all leading shopping platforms (4.7 star seller rating on amazon) You will not find this charging cable anywhere except amazon.

2. Amazon Basics 0.9 mtr Rs.279 + Shipping
http://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B00NH13LSM/ref=mp_...
This is one of the highest rated charging cable (4.4 star product rating) 1 Year Warranty

3. BCL4902 mentioned by you

PS → These are just suggestions.

Just for reference:

in India, Bandridge is exclusively represented by http://ecreativeindia.com/brand-pro...s/

and I suppose, they are present in few locations in case of need http://ecreativeindia.com/branch-lo...r/

Bandridge package says: 1800-352-0050 , but I found the direct folks at Creative Computers very approachable. [USB devices of Bandridge are looked at by one Mr. Thomas (you saved the number if needed I hope. one ending in 48661) ]

the reason I mentioned the coil loop part is that we Indians typically have the nasty habit of trying to save space by making max loops by keeping them small.

These type of cables have, say two or three, pairs running inside them and may be one pair is kept for data.
[as I was telling you, that is what Bluerigger guys told me, that in India they weren’t selling blah blah. but the difference is, that in pure charging cable, ALL pairs are shorted together so as to enable all to carry live current for charging.]

so why to coil a data worthy cable too much.

I never had to claim warranty, so can not say much.
what I told you about Thomas is centum true. very professional and straightforward sounding guy.

and although it is a big risk mentioning it on desidime. (AMZ is already raped enough)

for http://www.amazon.in/dp/B00U...QC for an odd charging problem I casually asked them if they know where I can get it looked at.

The staff at Amazon (if connected to a sensible person) is simply amazing.
They just said, Sir try to go to this this location is JBL serv. centre. but Sir, in case its not functioning and
if JBL gives you a DoA (dead on arrival) intimation, you simply send that to us and we will issue a complete refund.

[this was in continuation of their usual script of me bein their valuable customer and Amz is the most customer centric etc etc.
but the point is, FBA items, even 3-4 months after a sale do elicit such a gesture. its nice]

@GCA bhai sorry for the late night trouble https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif and really appreciate your being helpful.

Yup, I too might say Amazon’s own brand is good no doubt.

but I decided to be brief initially and stuck to the mandate Sagar gave.

if LG is legit and functionality (data, length) and price wise you are satisfied , then going with a known evil is better.

your experience with SaiTech as an Amazon customer really was something bhai. seriously, ever since I have really started thinking I should get on the whatsapp bandwagon.

as for Storite, my understanding would be limited to hearsay.
these Tukzer brand items too seem fairly good though. seems to sell power-banks too.

for me, everything is need (or latent demand. or is it nascent demand :- ? ) and budget based, if for self.

and often based on emotions playing upon my mind if i am purchasing for others.

If it will be your primary use adapter and cable, go with the better options within your budget.

If it is for someone close (near and dear ones); go with the ones that are really well support in after sales support and workmanship.

Since now there are a zillion names and the 1A and 2.1A confusion, I am not the right person to give an informed guidance. Sorry. https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif
[our JBL car charger had some other issue, not per se product fault. and i blindly purchase any charger/adapter made by http://www.google.com/search?q=S...mp for any brand.]
have Ericsson and Nokia supplied adapters (contract manufactured by Salcomp). Some of them have been under use for over 7-8.
.
.
.
unlike general trend or other dimers THIS is the first time ever I have used the terminology: “blindly” purchase. [but the same are backed by almost a decade and half of live exposure to Salcomp products. then too, I only mentioned that “i” purchase them without ssecond thoughts. please let your jurisprudence prevail.]

@Spock there’s a small request. Please remove the name part. You can use anything but not using name will be highly appreciated.

Yes if i can get LG Original Charging Cable at 200 bucks my first preference would be that. Like you have contact of Mr Thomas https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif i too have Contact of Mr Mitul Amin (Saitech IT). As far as their product performance is concerned ratings on different sites is enough

bandridge is a good brand, but do check the specs for max current. If it supports 2.1A or above, then its great !

prefer oxygen free pure copper and if you have more budget then check for gold plated connectors as well.

i also deal in mobile accessories, and have sold pisen, remax, xiaomi, rock cable’s. they are little expensive than whatever options have been mentioned above but then pisen (0.8m) supports 2.4A current whereas xiaomi (20cm) is having gold plated connectors. personally, i am using rock and pisen. highly satisfied with charging time of pisen but physical quality is not that great what bandridge offers.

for charger, check for nillkin or portronics. avoid buying unbranded or branded from samsung etc on ebay as they are counterfeit. prefer 2A or above. they’ll cost somewhere around 300-400 each.

if you need multiple usb then check for xiaomi powerstrip (first version). it have 3 usb sockets with 3.1A max in individual. it will be cheaper than buying 3 usb chargers , plus you kind of get plug splitter. if you need, then you can ping me https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif
