Need help. Finally after 2 years spending with Redmi 1s, I have decided to upgrade myself. Need expert advice from people on whether I should go for Redmi note 3 or Moto G4 considering that there is almost 2k diff for same specs.
Also plz confirm if Redmi note 3 can be encrypted because I will use it for corporate connection

Metal body
Check a few speed tests on YouTube.
G4 wins in a few too – camera and fast charger being a few
@thunderguy wrote:Metal body does not mean better quality. Check out the xiomi Redmi bin tests in YouTube. Benchmarks are also misleading Moto g1 when launched preformed better than galaxy s5 on the most basic tasks like calling and texting.@papa_kancha wrote:Price is a big difference now@manis99 wrote:How is the Redmi better than the Moto?@papa_kancha wrote:It comes with 2 amp charger which supports quick charging, though not so quick.@manis99 wrote:Many phones with snapdragon chipsets support quick charging 2 fewer come with a supported charger.@papa_kancha wrote:redmi note 3 support quick charge but it’s not officially announced.@thunderguy wrote:Then tahts another point for g4plus.

I’m not using a g4plus and neither am I condemning yours or anyone’s choice. I wanted to know how is RN3 better than g4plus. At the least what RN3 users perceive as “better” . Whats the point of a forum if you cant even share views

Me too and it is still going great apart from battery becoming a bit weak. Just got bored and thought to change now with so many good deals around
Thanks Bhai Log. based on the discussions, already purchased Note3 on last day of Amazon sale.
With respect to quick charging, dont know about note 3 / g4 but my redmi 1s has a better charger as it takes about two-third time to charge fully compared to charging from other phones chargers. Maybe it is a 2A charger. Dont know for sure
For anyone still looking at the differentiation, I am summarizing the key points: (thanks to @Repost; @thunderguy; @luckjiy; @papa_kancha )
Hardware Specs for both phones are similar
Redmi Note 3:
Price – Roughly 1.5k less
Metal Body
MIUI Interface (Good or bad depending on user preferences. Personally I like it)
Moto G4
Better Camera esp. in low light
Quick Charger
Stock Android with 2 Guaranteed updates

Most of things already told above.
The major difference is the processor
Snapdragon 650 is much better than 617 and is comaprable with snapdragon 808.
650 doesn’t have such heating issue as reported with most of 615-617 chipset.
Cortex A72 is much advanced than the one present in 617 A53, Actually in day to day usage 650-652 just blows up 617. Both these are of different league.
@manis99 wrote:Stock Android runs well with even lower spec sic. You can check if you want but not all phones with 617 615 810… Overheat . If anything they are at par or operate thermally better than phones with custom UI’s.

MIUI 8 is also not bad though, its highly optimised and runs extremly smooth. No signs of heating even while gaming. Moreover you can anytime flash a CM rom or Aosp rom to get stock android. There are lots of roms including Android N Roms for RN3.
i use MOto g plus bro its awesome
I am still using Redmi 1S
