Help needed to buy probiotic from US

@Peace I am glad to find someone on DD who understands the importance of gut bacteria and is actively working to better his situation so much so that he is willing to go through the hassle of importing a bottle of probiotics.

The product you have linked seemed to have gone viral after being featured on American TV shows like Dr. Oz, which BTW has a history of promoting ineffective supplements earlier for reasons that are anybody’s guess (https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/lies-fraud...). This is probably how you came to know about this product, directly or indirectly. Nevertheless, I strongly agree that spending more on a good probiotic is not a bad choice if you can afford it.

With that out of the way, did you know that we have many probiotic supplements available domestically as well? Some examples below:

Apart from these supplements, you can always prepare home made probiotic foods like Kimchi and Sauerkraut. people are oblivious to the fact that most of the diseases are realted to our gut. Nowadays people take antibiotics for even a small disease making the bacteria immune towards the antibiotics . Also, the antibiotics kills both the good and bad bacteria which can cause other problems. So taking probiotics can help in restoring the gut flora.
I Know that most of the probiotics sold are fake . I am currently suffering from a rare condition and few people have reported that using earth’s pearl probiotics they have been cured. They used other probiotics as well but the one I mentioned is what cured them so I wanted to give it a try. I am currently taking inlife probiotics which is not much effective .

Totally agree about the lack of awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy microflora.

I have never given it a thought but I will research more on it if the probiotics doesn’t cure it. I think I will have to contact someone from the US to send me a bottle of earth’s pearl. I am very desperately looking for it but I am not able to find it on the internet.

I have never given it a thought but I will research more on it if the probiotics doesn’t cure it. I think I will have to contact someone from the US to send me a bottle of earth’s pearl. I am very desperately looking for it but I am not able to find it on the internet.

You can ship it to one of the mail forwarders in US and ship it to India through them. I have used PPO box once a couple of years back and I really don’t know how it works now. @Annamalai Nārāyaṇa is the best person you can contact for the process.

having said that, i can corroborate the general sentiment that maintaining gut flora isn’t that unachievable of difficult as it is made out to be by marketing blitzkrieg of big power-brands.

in-fact, i myself remember mentioning FMT and its history to (i think) @ishandon .

it has long been done in cases of cows in India which is probably what might be the inspiration for some paediatrics professor/ doctor at Johns Hopkins research to tweak it for mother to baby transfer !! :eek:

i do agree with the fundamentals and myself rely on dahi (simple curd) extensively for regulating my health or digestive issues. with a high success rate, i may add.
with timely rest/sleep, dietary changes of berries or fruits, dahi and such near-unprocessed foods does the thing for me most of the time.

Best way to get products from usa is by asking some one who is us and returning to india. If u are getting in trough some website plz keep in mind drugs need to be keep below 25c ,some of them need refrigration..so it should not take a month to deliver
Also i dnt suggest buying from usa bcoz b.infantis (ur probiotic) will be avaliable in india.
We indian export all over world bcoz of our low price.
Price in us can be extremly high due to patents on drugs
