Help: Unstable network in redmi 3s

Hi,
I bought new redmi 3s few days back from amazon. I’m using jio sim in first slot since day one. But network is highly unstable. It sometimes shows 0 kbps to 50-60 kbps & suddenly network goes. This happens alternately every minute. I have to put on/off airplane mode. Meanwhile in my other phone ( Phicomm) jio network is continuous & good.
In open area also, problem is same. I searched on google & reset apn settings but problem not solved. If anyone knows solution pls let me know. Thanks

You are not alone bro. Mi forums are riddled with many such complaints. Been pending for months. In my case Airtel and Idea 4g dont work even if manual search reveals their networks. Only Vodafone 4g is working so far. Maybe it will be fixed in some future update but I am not at all hopeful.
Edit: MIUI 8.2 rollout for Redmi 3s is scheduled for Feb 20…

Also the network status display is very buggy. I have several screenshots showing 4g in both SIMs including for Jio which even has not been activated! Usually this happens when Wifi is switched on and/or connected to a hotspot.

Hmm me to facing unstable jio network, whereas voda(in second slot) network is stable….

After searching a lot ….found one working solution…. …work for me too…try may work for u…

Click on setting > About phone> click 4 times on internal memory > click on phone info(which u r using for data 1 or2)> click on Set preferred network type nd select the option try diff diff option which gives u better network /data speed….like i select TD-SCDMA,WCDMA and LTE….this works for me atleast.

Now no network instability for voda 4g sim
