Hi,
Can anyone who have used these phones give a brief review on following parameters?
1. Time taken to charge
2. Does the phone get hot during charging?
3. Battery backup performance
4. Overall performance? No heavy games, just lightweight games occasionally with normal day to day usage
5. Picture quality

thanks

Honor 8c comes with a old notch style. So will you be fine with that?

Better go with realme3i

I need good performance, minus heat, with or without notch. I don’t like realme phones. Their build quality is bad

@alphagirl Yes agree out of these two. Go with Redmi 7.

How much charging time does it require? And does it get hot while charging? I had Redmi 6 Pro 10 days ago, sold it only because it used to get hot while charging.
I have 7A now but it takes too much charging time. Takes 2 minutes to charge 1%, sometimes even more

The situation will be same with the Redmi 7. It will easily take you over 2 hours to get 100% as it comes with traditional 5V2A(No Fast Charging). And you will hardly find any phone comes with fast charging in that range.

I’m not looking for fast charging but not as slow as 7A either. 7a comes with 5V1A. I tried charging it with 2A charger, speed increases but it starts to get hot.
6 Pro took 1.5 minute for 1% charge, that kind of speed is fine for me. Most honor phones come with that or better speeds.

Okay. Understood. If 7A comes with 5V1A then definitely you will get slightly better charging speed with Redmi 7 as it comes with 5V2A but it will be easily around 2 hours. Also I have checked on YouTube Honor 8c will also take you 2 hours 10 minutes to get 100%.

P.S. :- Regarding the heating issue can’t comment on either of the device as I personally didn’t used it. Better suggest you to watch some reviews on YouTube and then make a decision.

Better choose Redmi Note 7S over these devices.
Rs.9999 less 10% bank discount. (3GB – 32GB)
Rs.8999 is a cool deal biggrin

Or you may even go with Mi A2 (4GB + 64GB) @ Rs.9999

Both devices are smooth enough for your usage and support fast charging biggrin

Ohh. No. How can someone forget this device. Even I forget it. It’s a beast in that range.

Comes with 48mp Samsung GM1 sensor + Snapdragon 660 + Quick Charge 4.0 Supported.

Redmi Note 7S >> Mi A2 >> Realme 2 Pro
Snapdragon 660 devices…

All these devices would sell around 10-10.5K under upcoming sale.
Bank discounts extra biggrin

It’s top one on my list. Planning to buy during sale but i don’t have icici card unfortunately.
Created this thread as a last resort to see if anything else matched up my requirements.

A2 is excellent but its battery life forced me to sell it. I had it a few months ago

Yes. A2 battery life is totally worst. One of my friend also sold it due to this reason. Also it doesn’t come with a headphone jack. But the deal breaker is the battery life.

Bro if you increase the ampere rating the charging will be fast but it heat up because the hardware is not optimized for that ampere rating…

If charging speed is fast then discharging will be also fast…

#engr’s knowledge toungueout

So always use stock charger…

Use Magicpin app and save 5% with Flipkart vouchers.
Or ask your friends if they have an ICICI card.

Redmi Note series would fetch good resale value after 1-2 years biggrin

You may even go with Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
The 3GB RAM version would be available for just Rs.7499 biggrin

https://www.flipkart.com/asus-zenfone-max-pro-m...

5.99 Full HD+ display
636 Processor
3GB + 32GB
Dedicated Slot
And 5000 mAh battery biggrin

This is a one-year-old launch…
But better than Redmi 7 in terms of build quality, specs, and pricing biggrin

May be. I saw durability videos of some realme phones on YouTube and changed my mind after that

At present i am using honor 7x and used realme 1 also. I must say honor phones are robust as compared to realme phones.

Also UI of honor is very good whereas realme is very confusing. Performance wise both are good
