How can I set PIN on SIM level?

I want my sim to ask for a 4 digit pin everytime I place a call. If I insert the sim in other phone, it should still ask the same pin. How can I achieve this on Jio?
I have lost my phone 3 times in past so want to do this to avoid unnecessary hassle in case of lost device.
I know how to password/pin protect the dialler app but I want it on the sim level.
Any drawbacks of this?

There’s something called PUK code but I guess you need to pay monthly rental to your operator for it

U should probably buy an antitheft bag/try some other way to not loss Ur phone
I think u can set puk password to SIM card. I used to set 4digit passcode when I used feature phone but past 5-6years not used it even once
